Reality is it’s hard to come into a tough match like this with little match sharpness totally cold. Sure he’s had a shocker but the error is on the coach

That’s fair, I think I may have adjusted the stance of the team for 5 or 10 mins so he could get acclimatized the speed of the game and comfortable in possession.
Jorginho should be absolutely doing better in that spot all things considered

Jorginho literally tried to summon his inner Brazilian and unnecessarily try to nutmeg a player after we’ve just gotten the lead.
The whole point with players like Jorginho is that they can literally come in into any situation and adapt due to his experience and understanding of the game.
That goal was 99% on Jorginho.

bit of a stinker cameo. he’s been solid several games recently though.
Supercomputer looked like he’d had a forced upgrade to windows 11 today. He’ll be right as rain after a reboot.
I try as much as I possibly can to stay away from the emotional “I never want to see you play in our colours again” reactions after a mistake but this is pretty close to that territory for me.
It’s one thing to give a goal away like that when you’re under pressure but he had time, saw both Saliba and Gabriel free either side of him, and instead tried to be Messi for a second and dribble through two Spuds when he’s alone in the middle of the pitch. This is an experienced, seasoned pro doing this as well. I actually can’t wrap my head around what the fuck he was doing and I’ll be losing a bit of sleep over it this week…

Guess we can’t rely on him to close out games if this is how he operates when he’s brought on to do a job.

Tbf he’s closed games out for us more often than not, it’s a an error that definitely cost us and robbed us of momentum but he’s been a good player for us overall.
Can’t forget that just because of one out of character error, as an experienced player it really was an awful one though

Nothing wrong with him. Mistake today, but I genuinely can’t think of any others while he’s been with us.
Some people just have a brainless agenda against him.
It’s not a brainless agenda when he is directly responsible for us giving up a goal. He should know better, it’s not like his stud got caught in the grass or something.

Pretty confident Rice won’t be back in time for City.
Gotta roll with it. Seeing Arteta’s presser he made sure to praise him. I think he knows we gotta rely on him now until Rice and Partry come back.
He’s had some very good games against City in the past. He was great in that game in February earlier in the year with a much stronger City midfield.
