lmao

How can you possibly be that slow as a pro athlete?

All jokes aside, as the page name says this is a bit out of context, probably end of the game, maybe he just ran the full length of the pitch in other direction, he is not the fastest but this is a bit misleading

Thats a speedy ref. Sign him up !

Pirlo sends his regards. Guy was able to fold his kit and put it back in his locker after every match because he never broke a sweat.

I’m a bit “meh” over this deal. A stop-gap for sure and hopefully it works out.

To sign for Chelsea. Worried.

You joke but Chelsea may offer him 8 year contract.

As much as I dislike the guy I do hope people aren’t @ him online with abuse.

You’re clearly trying to skew the discussion here. It’s not anyone’s job and I’ve never said that. What I’ve asked you to do is substantiate your point with additional information because of a specific thing you said. There are many situations in everyday life where this would be expected of someone, very few of those situations involve it being the job of the person expected to substantiate a claim.

Personally, I think your avoidance of addressing the question reflects the fact that a) it’s actually an extremely difficult task to find anyone comparable to Partey in ability and quality b) you either don’t understand this or you are unable to apply a realsiitc lens to your views on the situation.

As I’ve said previously in this thread; in the entire world of football, probably only Rodri actually replaces what Partey gives us and even then he is not quite the same player.

The Partey cover issue is much more difficult than simply “buy x guy”. Basically every top club in world football could do with a Partey to start for them (not cover) and yet very few of them have one.

It’s not avoidance to say that I don’t know every player in world football. An alternative to Jorginho would be spending 100m on Caceido or 150m on Rice but it may not be realistic right now.

And by the same token I could accuse you of skewing the discussion. Me criticizing a signing doesn’t mean I personally have an alternative candidate or that I should have one.

Well you know Arsenal players and you know most of them don’t play DM, so you know that you wouldn’t need to know every player in world football because not every player is a DM.

In this case, this is just exaggeration in order to trivialise my request. I’m not saying you should know every player in world football and never have said that.

I’ve simply been asking you to further substantiate your viewpoint. You can absolutely criticize a signing but it’s quite baseless without providing an alternative scenario whereby it is made apparent to others how the signing made in reality is a poor one.

You originally said “What it doesn’t do is give us any great cover for Partey short term” so how were you ever going to know what was good short term cover if you’re using the excuse of it not being your job to know players?
