Jakub Kiwior (15)

Grew into the game after the early blunder but key mistake in a game we couldn’t afford it.

No doubt mikel will have had words with him about it. Wonder if Gabriel will be back next game.

A decent understudy but poor moment for him on that goal, although perhaps Raya/Saliba could’ve done more as well. Gabriel should be back in for Everton.

Kiwior got done by the same ball versus Liverpool, if memory serves me right

Until he’s out again cause it’s just been one of those seasons. I won’t be surprised if he and Calafiori return and Saliba or Timber have an issue.

He’s a bit of a scrub, but anyone at his level or above will cost even more money that should go towards forward options and he isn’t our biggest problem atm.

Get Sterling, Jesus and Martinelli ejected from this club asap and bring in 2-3 ballers. We need an LW, ST and CAM or RW.

There must be some diamonds in the rough that’s about to emerge surely? Fully assuming Gyokeres is Utd bound.

Wait are you saying Kiwior is a scrub?

Calafiori is a terrible defender so I guess that would make Kiwior a scrub.

By scrub I just mean, not a first teamer/title-worthy. He’s not dreadful, but I think he’s a decent/good back-up. Better than what we’ve had in Rob Holding from past years.

Cala’s decent, but gets caught out a lot. Brilliant going forward though.

Bad definition of a scrub I guess

Kiwior is an excellent backup CB. There is always going to be a drop off in quality from Gabriel/Saliba to Kiwior but it’s not like every time he plays he is the weakest link in the team. And he is the kinds who gets better the more minutes he gets. He’s a vital squad player.

As for Calafiori, he’s so forward thinking that he does get caught out sometimes. His lack of pace also doesn’t help but his physicality and forward play more than make up for it. And he’s still very young.

You cannot expect to have a solid back 4 with no weaknesses, in our system. What we need is two strong, reliable, monsters as CBs, and we have that. And the likes of White and Kiwior as backups. It’s just that we are having a torrid time with injuries this season.

He’s got a good pass on him

This guys pinged a good few Zinny 22/23 balls this half. Didn’t know he had this in his locker.

He was doing this before he got here…for some reason he is only starting to do it now. I don’t know if Arteta told him not to and didnt remember he could do it.

The last few days should remind us all that you’re not going to get a much better 3rd/4th choice CB than this guy.

Been a very composed performance once again today.

I say he is not leaving, and we are not selling, at least in near future.
He is valuable for a title challenge team.

We’re so back and fourth with this guy haha.

Probably a mistake in the next match he plays.

Another top performance today. Happy to have him as an option off the bench.

Good performance and showed his quality with the ball

Juicing the fee

He’s gone in the summer, doesn’t make sense for a guy his age to sit waiting for 5-10 apps a season.

Great backup but not good enough to displace the goat CB’s.

Kiwior certainly has an eye for a pass. His ball to Jesus deserved a goal

If we count Tomi and Zinny out, then Kiwior will have sufficient playing time.
