Jakub Kiwior (15)

Was Mikel asking him to do unnatural shit as a LB that made him look worse there. Now he’s just asked to do a normal job he’s looking alright as a LB as well.

Still think Timber or Zinky are part of our best XI but can’t argue with how he’s played the last 2 months.

This run of games has been excellent for him. Really blossoming and is a serious player for Arsenal now. Has established himself as somebody that Mikel trusts.

Seems like another bargain at just £20m.

Hope this form and confidence also means he can play CB when it’s necessary.

This is what we bought him for. Lovely.

Perfect. These guys more than your £50-80m players can make or break seasons.

Like Ake and Akanji did for City.

By the way, another clean sheet.

Would bet a 100 that we would had conceded one or two goals in the last big wins with Zinchecnko instead.

Zinny better moving forward, although recently Kiwior improved there too.

Tbf, we did concede against Newcastle.

I am well aware of that.

But not in the 5-0, 6-0, 5-0 and another 6-0.

We wouldn’t have because they were all against impotent sides.

Sheff Utd, Burnley and West Ham were never scoring in those games.

With zinny at lb we have conceded silly goals against weak teams mostly due to his defensive errors

that had nothing to do with Kiwior I think

It didn’t. Didn’t say he did. It was cheap goal to concede though which I think was the point.
Jorgi was probably the one to blame for that the most as he got caught and unfortunately once he’s caught it’s tough for him to recover.

Bit unlucky on our end too because it was a great header from Willock that left Raya no chance.

Proving to be a decent player in the squad but I think that’s about it.
I think Foden or Doku will cook him if he plays at the Etihad.

I thought this was his best game for us. Have never seen him be so comfortable. He might’ve been our calmest defender.
Nerves certainly got to Saliba and Gabriel. Even Rice I would say.

I agree, but he did have one wobbly moment in extra time when he decided to chest the ball down and then lost the ball. He has to win it in those situations. But overall I have to say he is developing well. Clearly he has been working hard in training and he seems fully integrated into the team now.

What was his transfer fee?

Think it was about 20m.

Solid,I like

The only time I felt threatened on that side last night was when Zinny came on. Kiwior is first choice now.

I dunno, I still like Zinny. He offers more offensively. It sounds like a lazy and simple argument at this point of time, but it’s true.

Having said that, Kiwior is a solid deputy at LB. Proper Flamini vibes.

No doubt, Zinny is a brilliant footballer. I always feel vulnerable with him on the pitch though. Even last night, he’s creating openings - for the opposition.

With White, Kiwiour, Saliba and Gabriel, it feels so much more secure.
