No but seriously, notice how he said he wanted to sign him before he moved to Arsenal. The quotes about anyone at City wanting to sign him since he signed for Arsenal are conspicuous by their absence
I have no idea why I hadnāt watched Peep show until this year
It is amazing. Jez reminds me so much of a mate which makes it doubly hilarious :ozil:
Eeww, I wanted to mock u with a meme but I dont even have the strength to do so in the Xhaka thread. #XhakaPartyIsOver
In all honesty he probably could overcome his physical deficiencies kinda like Per did. Per was slow af but read the game so well because he had a high football IQ. Xhaka is a fucking moron with no football IQ so thereās no hope for this dumb shit.
Going to take whatever scraps I can for optimism atm⦠but Xhaka chapter at AFC needs closing⦠as fast as possibleā¦
Outeta!
Thatās the main issue. Xhaka may be a hard worker but the amount of fuck ups on the pitch leads me to believe heās also an idiot. He wonāt be able to overcome the problems with his game because he just canāt read the game well enough.
I donāt know what Arteta, Emery and Wenger see in him.
itās got nothing to do with poor coaching because that isnāt going to be the reason for him making so many mistakes.
He also has a bad attitude towards the people who pay his wages and is petulant on the pitch.
Whatās to like?
Since Arteta took over, we have had an endless barrage of PR spin about how great he is and how he is going to transform the club back to greatness.
If he had any sense, and he really wanted to get the supporters onside, he would sell this clown and replace him with someone who was at least not a liability and who had some respect for the supporters and the club.
What does Xhaka have to do for someone to get rid of him?
Even Delph was playing like a half decent player at City. Maybe Arteta can sprinkle some of that magic on Granit.
Nice comments by Arteta. Xhaka will surely look pretty good again now with a competent manager at the club.
At the age of 27, I donāt think itās possible to coach him into something supremely dependable.
He has the raw technical qualities to have been a good midfielder, but his proneness to lapses in concentration and/or making terrible decisions is not going to be suddenly fixed. Heās also an average athlete (at best).
If you stuck Xhaka in Guardiolaās system, he would look a lot better but Iād still count on him to make errors leading to goals.
Thereās a certain inevitability about Xhaka fucking up, no matter how well he might be coached.
Problem with Xhaka is losing concentration during games. Iām sure he starts with professional intentions but lapses into reckless during the game. Is that down to frustration maybe, will he feel less frustrated under Artetaās system of play maybe, we just donāt know.
Frustration tends to come from determination and Xhaka does have determination if not much else.
Letās hope Xhakaās resolve will get him the fuck out of the club.

How old was Milner when he moved to Liverpool? Thatās the only sort of hope I have left. A player linking up with an innovative coach who can galvanize his career.
Maybe Arteta can coach some sense into Xhaka but I seriously doubt it.
Milner was always a smart, hardworking and decently technical player.
Since his Aston Villa days.
Awful - 20 min one horrible pass in our third and one really poor one in the middle⦠and at least one really dumb/late foul.
Donāt care what these guys see in him, he simply makes too many braindead mistakes⦠nowhere near intelligent or quick-thinking enough.
Bournemouth are giving our midfield so much space.
And yet Xhaka still plays so slow.
Good pass there tho.
Ultimately this is his issue⦠the only pass he ever sees relatively quick is the obvious switch of play to the other flank and every so often he still skews that horribly wrong.
Any quick combo/short-passing masterpieces that we got under Santi or Cesc are gone forever with Xhaka in there.
This is dead on. He can only play one type of pass quickly and thatās not terribly useful.
Whole team hasnāt looked great so far today. Heās far from alone on that front.
Personally though Xhaka had a fairly decent half. Haters will always hate, though
He was better than Torreira yet the the Xhaka thread gets bumped.
