I think Xhaka has shown his true colours.
He’s petulant and disloyal, as well as not being a very good footballer.
Not a player I would miss in the slightest.
Getting rid of him would show statement of intent from Arteta and I would back him all the way,
I would be happy to count on players as Leno, Martinez, Bellerin, Kolasinac, Sokratis, maybe Holding, Saka, Tierney, Torreira, Mesut (he loves Arsenal so much, imho), Gabriel Martinelli, Pèpè.
Give a chance to test Willock, ESR, Nelson.

I think we can recoup some money from players as Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Chambers, Xhaka, Lacazette, Aubameyang, Nelson and Nelson.
Invest the money on the right technical and mental qualities for Mikel and we will see something different.
I think Denilson, Gabriel, Mustafi, and Santos can all improve under Arteta, let’s bring em all back. Fuck it let’s bring Flamini back too, Arteta could teach him awareness, he’d turn Flamini into a prime Xabi Alonso

He’s just incapable of handling the demands of the Premier League.

Finally found his level. We just don’t have any midfielders who can compliment his limited skills.
He was ok, but his “ok-ness” was partly an incredibly conservative style - if there was even someone within 20 yards closing him down, he would make the safe/easy pass, usually backwards… so incredibly limited. Too slow and offers zero chance of breaking the lines, making us so much easier to stifle. Notice how every team now pinches us wide where we struggle?

He can, but he’s not a holding midfielder.
He should certainly be tried as one. He looked promising in that position, showing lots of personality getting the ball from defence, when we first signed him (it was only pre-season, but still).
