Granit Xhaka

Who Lasts the Longest in the Dark? (Sort of thing)

This is another good article.

The fans were justified in their reaction last night.

But I feel they would be better served in booing Emery than Xhaka, and that kind of toxicity that cost Wenger has to come soon.

It’s Emery they’re really angry with anyways. Emery made Xhaka captain, Emery plays Xhaka.

Time to hound him out, because at least on the surface our board of incompetents aren’t going to do anything.

Let’s not throw it all on Emery, Xhaka deserves a lot of the criticism too. His total awful interview after games, passing the blame to others of his mistake agaisnt Spurs, his not giving the shit about giving away the peno at Brighton last season, which was a disgrace. Emery deserves stick for him the captaincy but this is on Xhaka and his form too.

:frowning:

“The players and the staff like him, thus fans shouldn’t boo him”.
Couldn’t give two fucks if they like him, I think he’s trash, and worst of all he is getting rewarded for being trash. Booing cone with the territory here.

Btw, if Torreira thinks this was unwarranted he can fuck off to Italy and please, take the key merchant and bumery with him.

Can’t believe in what utopia these people live, thinking this has come out of nowhere.
They’ve sucked any joy that was left since a bumpy 2016-2018 period, and that’s quite an achievement.

This I believe is a big problem, to charge I think the highest ticket prices in Europe and to have even reached 80 points in the league in over a decade is unacceptable. Nearly a decade since we’ve made the last 8 of the CL also. So not only are we not winning major honours, we aren’t even coming close to challenging.

In most situations in life you get what you pay for in terms of quality, this is not the case if you’re an Arsenal fan.

Some cut and paste pictures means nothing.
You can put some captions on it and say Torreira was crying for playing as #10 for Dick Emery.

The thing that never made sense about the Eboue situation was why Wenger brought him off. There were literally seconds remaining and we had the lead; just hold your nerve for another two minutes and don’t publicly hang the guy.

We were defending a one goal lead and he had just tackled Toure and then lost the ball, it was the cherry on the cake of one of the most inexplicably bad performances I’ve seen an Arsenal player produce. I think the fact that Wenger, one of the most protective managers I’ve known, was the one to make such a call indicates that it probably was a necessary act.

Yeah I remember that it was extremely bad, but Im not sure the substitution is worth it that late on. Did he not bring him on earlier in that match also?

Oh yeah, I assumed that was why you objected to the sub, cos if you remove the fact he was subbed on its just a fairly regular case of a manager substituting someone who was playing really badly

Yeah that’s primarily why I object to it. Wenger taking him off after a terrible performance is made worse given that he also chose to bring him on.

Players earn millions for playing a sport they love.
They love the adulation, they love the money and they love everything that goes with it, but please don’t tell the supporters who pay your wages what we can or can’t do or say.

The arrogance of players is beyond a joke if they think they are above criticism, especially if they persistently play badly and have a bad attitude.

Arshavin was toxic.
Fat, inconsistent and lazy, yet didn’t mind accepting 100k, or more, a week from the people he has the cheek to call “toxic.”

Same old Arsenal, we’ve got a bunch of pussies on the team. It’s why RVP left, it’s why Cesc left, it’s why we never contend. More worried about the fee-fees than the tro-fees.

might as well ask them what formation, tactics etc they want to play as well, if you have to small a penis to coach

It’s not a popularity contest.
It’s the Arsenal captain you’re choosing.

I remember going to watch us in the 80’s when Terrry Neill was in charge.

We were really quite poor. I remember going to watch us at Scum land where we lost 5-0 in the league.

It was common place in those days for fans to sing what a load of rubbish at the team when they were really bad. It was expected in those days (by fans and players) if you served up shit repeatedly. Wasn’t nice for the players but it meant you couldn’t hide from fans after repeated poor showings and they knew it.

The players these days are paid so much more than ever and more protected than ever yet they can’t take a few boos when they serve up poor show after poor show - diddums.

How times change.

I agree.
Torreira crying because his little friend got substituted and then had a tantrum because the nasty supporters had a go at him for being petulant.

If Adams had seen a fellow player crying over something like this, I can assure you there would be no sympathy.
He would have told him to grow up and learn from your mistakes.

For a few hundred quid a week, he would do anything to win and would never have tolerated this sort of childish nonsense from fellow players.

This just shows how pampered, mentally weak, and self obsessed some of our players are.
Is this a football club or a kindergarten?

He could have been a cult hero. Instead, he became a cunt hero.
