This situation has soured the relationship between Xhaka and Emery and it also shows a very immature and stupid attitude from Xhaka.
If you donāt play well and get substituted, just take it and walk off.
If he doesnāt realise that the amount of mistakes he makes is unacceptable then he is even more stupid than we thought.
He is the worst captain Iāve seen at the club.
He is a coward, his interviews show him to have a losers attitude and he loses us points through his frequent mistakes.
Compared to previous captains, like Adams, Vieira, Keown and Henry, he is an embarrassment and isnāt fit to go near their boots, let alone lace them.
If Emery picks him to captain the next game, then he is a loser as well and will deserve all the criticism he gets.

I think the fans are fed up with the shit this club has been dealing out in terms of football. Xhaka has been proven to be not good enough and yet Emery persists with him. Not his fault I know.
What the fans did was venting their frustrations from this game, this season, the last 15 years, Emery and everything in between on the one man they could. If Xhaka doesnāt understand why they did it, then he doesnāt have the pulse of the fanbase. He shouldnāt have reacted and now that he has, I donāt see how he can continue to be captain.
Emery has to make some big decisions and I hope he has the balls to do it. Xhaka losing his place in the team could be the best thing to come out of this game.

Emery has proved himself to be lacking in brave decision making.
In a strange twist, he would be braver if he picked Xhaka as captain in the next game than dropping him.
Donāt blame the fans who pay the highest prices for tickets in the game for booing a relegation level player constantly making excuses for his shit performances when heās been made captain

No class from our fans, he has been awful but the person you should be booing is Emery.

Its Emeryās fault itās came to this. Heās not good enough. Proven many times yet he names him as his captain. He really should have had the foresight to not sub him off to save him from that happening as its been building up and up the result and performance made every one finally explode and Xhaka got it.

I think the criticism should be for Xhaka starting in the first place, not for bringing him off. I donāt think a manager should make substitutions based on how the crowd will react, he has to do what he thinks is best for the team in the moment and I think that the substitution was correct.
The real issue is how Emery could have been so foolish to make him captain and continue to start him which has led to this.

What Emery should ask himself is this: if you cannot keep Xhaka on in a home game where we are fighting to win the game, why have him starting and being this teamās captain to begin with?
Emery may think its only tactical, but heās subbed him off early more than once when things are going wrong. What sort of message is this? Heās leaving Xhaka out to dry and second guessing his importance to the team.
Honestly, Emery just has no clue
Itās rare a fanbase goes so far on any player. Weāve seen many a Denilson and Gervinho over the years but the likes of Xhaka and Mustafi are absolutely all time top tier fuck out players, so itās no surprise that fans have had enough. At least Emery had the sense to keep Mustafi out of the way this season but thatās just going to make Xhaka more of a lightning rod.
Itās not nice to hear that happen, but at the same time it may prove to be a factor in him making decisions about his future if offers come in in the summer. Heās done here and has been for a while now.
