Agreed - was one of the disappointing aspects of this summer, along with Moose hanging around - I have hope at least that Moose will be gone when Sep 3 rolls around though.

Probably, which is tragic.
It really is weird though. You could argue the guy is the midfielder Mustafi. For all good they do they can’t help themselves but do something completely stupid each match. So bad that usually sours their whole performance.
I guess Xhaka being a midfielder and Mustafi a defender(more costly of a mistake for the latter), in addition to the lack of competition the former has is what sets the two apart.

I would be more than happy to sell Xhaka and rely on Guendouzi, Ceballos, Torreira and Willock as out midfield options, especially if we can get a good price for him. Not part of Arsenal’s new future IMO.
