Granit Xhaka

Wasn’t long ago that he said he may consider leaving to take the next step in his career. Low-key hoping that another season trophy-less pushes him to pull a Fabregas/Nasri/RVP. By no means irreplaceable, a long term liability and absolutely not made for the modern PL. Reckon he could go for as high as £60 if we find a team fool enough, and there are plenty around

I think realistically he’d go for 25-30m at the moment, maybe a bit more if we were smart about it but we never are.

I’d be fine with letting him go if we had the right midfielder to come in and take his place, but currently we don’t and I’m no sure we’ll be able to address that yet in the market when we are going to have a really barebones budget to work with and other areas that are currently more important to address.

I think Xhaka may be here for another season and then we will eventually move on from him once we can get a player in who we think can take his place.

Was about to mock you, but then realised you didn’t say “million”. I agree sixty quid sounds about right

To be honest torreria was worse than xhaka last night. Hard to blame one player when the whole team are shit

Torreira was definitely worse than Xhaka last night, Xhaka needs to be replaced and isn’t good enough for what we hope to be, but as I’ve said was probably our best player in the first half.

Nobody has done that. We hate them all.

Imagine trying to give Xhaka credit for basically not having a bad game lol.

He made obvious passes to our LWB who was in acres of space and attempted a shot which he missed and that’s what he deserves credit for?

He didn’t control the game or come close to winning a midfield battle against Chelsea. He didn’t keep play ticking. He didn’t connect the defence and attack well and possession was constantly being turned over by all of the players on the pitch.

That’s pretty much it. To quote myself from a few weeks ago in this thread…

Xhaka thinks we had a good season.
Also, love how the fucker changed his tune regarding his future. “Me? I have a contract here.” Trust me bud, nobody will miss you. Please find yourself a club.

no it doesnt someone has to pay the prat wages…might have to pay someone a handsome fee to fuck him off in the bin.

After 3 years he’s always been decent or shit I’m afraid, gives 1 decent game then 3 shit ones and repeat, have to sell among loads of others that should go. Only like him as he’s good looking :joy:

I think he had a good season on a personal level. Since returning though he has been back to his old usual unreliable self.
Mkhi had also a good spell but I guess you can’t hack it for long.
Let’s see what happens. Will our board crumble or not?

Emery now Xhaka, good to know we left Highbury for the Emirates to consider 5th and a EL final a good season. Fuck this club.

Granit Xhaka wants to leave, it’s clear. For the second time he was doubtful about his future at the club.

I’m not against his exit despite rate him highly. Especially now Arsenal must start next season with fully motivated players.

Xhaka saying he has big aspirations is like in the old school Fifa manager mode when a player is like a 50 overall and says that he wants to move on to bigger and better things so the board transfer list him for you automatically lol damn wish our actual board was more cut throat than a video game :joy::joy:

Supposedly in Baku, Xhaka had to round up half the team after the final whistle to go and applaud the away fans. Many of them were headed down the tunnel without thinking of giving the traveling fans acknowledgement whatsoever. I personally don’t think he’s got what it takes to be an Arsenal player but you’ve got to give him credit where it’s due.

On a different note, this kinda shows what the mentality of our team is. They don’t give a shit about playing for our club. Maybe we need to start looking at talent and then mentality of a player a close second when making a signing. We need more professionals who are passionate about the game. As of now I feel our club is full of immature cunts who are mostly concerned with the fame and money the game gives them, kinda like half of United’s team.

Pfft stats don’t paint the real picture.

I reckon they were feeling sorry for themselves, licking their wounds… fck that… they should man up and go appreciate the real losers in the deal - the poor sods who spent shedloads to go to fing Baku to support that pathetic team.
