I just don’t romanticise the guy like some of you do. Respect what he did as a player and the success he brought as a manager. But at the same time, he stole from the club. I also don’t see it as Wenger v GG, which you certainly do

I’d say there were better sides in the Europa we lost than the Cup Winners Cup. Definitely the season we went out to Atletico and also the season we lost to Chelsea.

Standard Liege was the only shit side we played when we won the CWC in 94.
Edit: we didn’t play Napoli in the CWC run as I said earlier. We played Torino. We did play Napoli in some context that season but I can’t remember in when exactly

True to say that the Cwc wasn’t always a good competition every season. 94 though was a strong tournament and is clearly the clubs greatest cup achievement.
No Ian Wright and Selley and Morrow in midfield. Ffs we don’t register a shot in Madrid with Mesut Ozil in the team.
People really need tbh of how under performing a manager Wenger was for at least a decade.

Not that I condone what Graham did in anyway, but I assume that’s a pretty common practice in football even to this day. Probably even worse now with agents and companies owning players. However none of that detracts from what he achieved which is actually quite a lot considering that before graham last time we won the league was in 71’ which is 18 years and before most of us was even born. Number of trophies in his 8 year tenure is actually quite high.
