Sir George Graham
Oh yes
King George .
To win the League title so convincingly, with the most expensive signing being a GK for just over 1m, was amazing.
The squad cost around 5m to assemble but most were from the youth team.
Favourite ever Highbury night that one. Pure party and beating United crowned it all.
4-1, wasn’t it?
3 1
That’s the one
Alan Smith for the penalty ‘which way shall I put it’
The game was on ITV.
The bubbly was popping that night .
Good ol’times

Legend. Definitely looking old but good to see him still involved
Graham and Arteta are quite similar, they both played for us and then became managers of the club.
They also took over the team when it was in a mess and changed it from having older players, who had become complacent, to younger players who wanted to win win trophies.
I FUCKING LOVE THIS MAN
Beautiful.
I thought King George spoke well but he sounded ‘old’
It’s a crying shame what happened at the end of his Arsenal tenure. He had , apparently, lost the dressing room. Bungs were part of the game and it’s no different to deals being done on the golf course.
I might get flamed for this, but I’m not arsed about Graham, played for. Chelsea and United, managed Spurs, seeing him at the artwork unveiling event made me feel very meh.
King George
Brought the glory days back to our football club and started the upturn we had through the 90s and 00s
He’s a big reason for some of that artwork.
If can’t appreciate just what GG done and achieved then shame on you.
He built Wengers ‘legacy’ of which Wenger seriously underachieved.
King George for me.
Just remember, 20 years no European Trophy
Graham did .
When Graham played for Chelsea and Utd I’m pretty sure no-one gave a shit in those days about who else anyone played for. Terry Neill gave Arsenal a great moment in 1979 despite his spurs connection and what George Graham did in 1989 and the rest makes any connection he had with spurs totally redundant
