You’re the only one losing their shit because people dare critique the country you live in.

No, I am just responding in a place that has a lot of like-minded people amplifying each other, but they are not representative, as I have explained many times. If they were representative Britain would not have been governed by the Tories for so long now. You are typical football fan fanatics, but that isn’t a cross section of the public.

But we don’t give a shit if you talk bad about our country. Most of us would probably agree with you

It’s the “why” countries have turned to sh*t that is the issue, and is what we fundamentally disagree on.

Not really. What happens in the U.S. has great implications for the rest of the world and not so much the other way around.

There are crises unfolding at a rapid pace and it seems as though the most straight forward solutions can’t be implemented. It’s a definitive indicator of a society in decline.

To think it’s easier to acquire an instrument of mass death than it is to buy baby formula. :santi:

What implications does gun rights in America have for the rest of the world? Any of you (countries) loosening your gun rights under influence of America? That’s the bit I don’t get. There is no impact on you except for emotions and going on about “America blah blah blah”. From my perspective of course I marvel at it all being distractions from fixing your own problems.

American weapons manufacturers i.e. the Military Industrial Complex. They sell at home as well as abroad.

Who do you think funds all this pro-gun lobbying?

Britain has an arms industry you know. Where’s the connection with gun rights in Britain? I can assure you that Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. are just fine, not having any dependence on gun sales in America. Their best friend right now happens to be Joe Biden, in terms of growing their exports.

Didn’t Russian oligarchs pour a shit load of money into the NRA?

Does Britain have laws saying companies are people therefore money is equivalent to speech?

Is Britains weapons industry even close to the size of the U.S.?

And what does Joe Biden being friends with the weapons industry have to do with anything?

I’m guessing that’s what you’re referring to.

You’re making out that gun sales in America are some kind of platform on which the military industrial complex is thriving. I think even you will admit that is just some conjecture on your part not grounded in anything solid , but I am of course saying Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. stocks are surging on the back of weapons exports and growing conflict, which has absolutely no connection with gun sales in America.

I can assure you the military industrial complex wants less dissent and a growing police state in America so that they can expand conflict with no resistance in the form of domestic protests, etc. They censor through Big Tech for that, and if anyone wants rid of the second amendment they do. It’s a bit funny because many in here probably look on protests against American intervention in Vietnam with quite a bit of romanticism.

This is the exact straw man I expected you to build. I didn’t say that and you know it.

The fact is that weapons sold domestically and exported are made by the same companies. Don’t muddle a valid point about the influence of the weapons industry on domestic policy.

If anything is conjecture it’s your theories about what weapons companies would or wouldn’t want in regard to protests and big tech?—that was a weird one

Javelin missiles, etc. are “guns” sold in America? What are you smoking, man? The military battlefield is high tech, not rifles. Missile defense systems and shields are rifles? Tanks are rifles? Fighter jets are rifles? Helicopters are rifles? smh.

Here you go again being totally unaware and throwing a jab or a weird take like what you said about ‘immigrants with merit’ or the Joe Biden take that only made sense to you.

Every time you post it feels like you’re fishing for an argument.

You’re just getting puffed up because your logic is shown to be full of holes. Bring something concrete with actual evidence. I’m being pretty kind and patient here in all truth. These arms contracts that Lockheed and Raytheon are making big money on (the multibillion dollar contracts) are not for rifles. Even a five year old child knows that, and yet here you are with such an argument you want to stick with. lol.

By the way what exactly did I say about immigrants with merit? I am starting to wonder how old exactly you are, in addition to your reading comprehension skills. Go find what you have in mind. I was not using it in any argument with anyone. I was talking about myself, and just doing a subtle workaround to avoid people getting riled up over legal vs. illegal immigrants. Yes, I emigrated on a merit visa, based on specific skills, for which the employer had to file paperwork to show they could not find domestically. I also say that because I was doing fine where I was, but I wanted a lot more (in America). That was just about myself, and a fact, not an argument.

You are free to tell me you are twelve years old or whatever, or not. Your choice.

Someone get bumhappy in here. Say what you want about bumhappy but at least he’s entertaining.

@mhappy get your Belarusian ass in here and say something crazy about how you support arming kindergartners or how you believe in phrenology.

Good evasion. So it is confirmed you have issues when it comes to reading comprehension skills (you don’t want to own up to now, or apologise for), and you think Lockheed’s multibillion dollar arms contracts are based on guns sold in America. If you are not twelve years old you are doing a good job of looking like one.

I don’t mind you giving up. It’s only further confirmation of general deficiencies in here. I’m the one who is now bored, and with more than valid reason.
