Typically bunch of shameless politicians (namely Diane Abbot) tried to jump on the news and make it out that it was because of “threats” or her political activism, then the facts come out and it was a random gang shooting. 4 men drove by targeting someone else and she got caught in the crossfire, because she was chilling with a rival gang. I swear these activists and politicians are so clueless. Gangs don’t give a fuck if your part of some “movement” that helps poor or blacks or ethnics, the only colour that matters when poor is the colour of money. Never a surprise there
It’s insane that amount of power and sway that the Military-Indsutrial complex wields over the states. From Selling full blown ARs to citizens to major conflicts around the world they always come out on top. How many more innocent people have to die a year from gun related incidents before anything of note will be done in the US? It’s actually crazy when you think about it.
Using myself as an anecdote I estimate that a large portion of the US populace have encountered gun violence in their lifetime. Whether that be in their community or themselves have been victims.
And how shameful an indictment that is of what is supposed to be a civilised country.
