Noticed tonight there is a programme about RLS(Restless Leg Syndrome) on ch 5…
I suffer from this usually at night and its a fucking nightmare…I was on meds for it but they have been discontinued, so at the moment i just have to suffer with it…Should be an interesting watch.

This is actually really good news.
That’s amazing.
Any idea which company has the patent for this swab or is it a university project?
:pepe2: I see you looking for that stock :pepe1:
Not entirely sure, mate. I didn’t read the full article. Just got excited by the development
4 years late mate but L-Tryptophan can help with sleep
Another, very positive development on Parkinsons
Promising. Anything non-pharmacological to halt progession of the disease state is definitely worth a go.
More promising news
Genuinely something to be hopeful and excited about.
For those that can afford it.
But yes, looks promising. Won’t be cheap though.
Potentially a real game changer in the fight against Alzheimers
A real shame. All seemed very promising a couple of years ago.
This is what pisses me off is there’s not enough profit to be made for the drug manufacturers so fuck the patients.
Lost my grandfather recently to Parkinsons. Was pretty horrid in the final few years. Went from shaky hands to complete loss of the ability to walk, talk or really do anything other than lay in bed until the end. The decline was pretty rapid (maybe 3 to 4 years to go from pretty functional to completely the opposite) despite being diagnosed about 15-20 years ago.
His death was peaceful though, surrounded by family and seemingly pretty painless.

Also this it seems
Slows down progression by 4-6 months but a lot of extra monitoring.
Very sorry for your loss. I can recall you put a picture up of you both together a while back. Just recall the good, loving, lasting memories you had with him.
How is this drug been deemed as safe when its side effects includes swelling off the brain an bleeds on the brain.
I guess it depends on how often you see those side effects. Medications have to list their possible side effects, no matter how frequent or infrequent they are.
