Gabriel Martinelli (11)

VAR would rule that out. Best make the most of it then.

Not sure why but I am buzzing to see this guy play. Hopefully he can get some minutes soon.

Wasn’t he a centre forward? IIRC only Emery has been playing him on the wing.

If we’re still in the game Saturday with twenty minutes to go id love him to be thrown on.
Think he could just be the sort of player who could do something special.

It’s the Brazilian samba vibe that makes this a sexy signing

Brilliant goal that 2nd one tonight, impressive performance from the kid.

He wasn’t able to show much of his pace, flair or skills. As he was very close to the two centre backs.

You can see that he is still very raw - his positioning and runs will definitely improve steadily. Took the two goals very well though.

Most impressive bit was his work rate - something we have lacked since Sanchez.

Interesting to see how the Martinelli project develops - could either be a Vela or Wellington or genuinely become a successful signing.

Man, wish I had seen him as a CF in pre-season, that was a different package. Looks a major talent. Well done three fiddies.

Edu is the man.

Can see why we let Nketiah go on loan :unai:

He has great balance and agility. Love how he can turn and spin to create space for shots. It requires a really good first touch and control, not a lot of strikers have that and it’s a quality that only the very top CFs display on a consistent basis. Aguero is the master of that ability, and reminds me of that style.

Was a very lively performance and 2 goals is a great return. Very encouraging.
