Merino has a knack for popping up with goals at key teams. I miss him.
Merino is an excellent combination player and Arsenal are currently a shit combination team. Hope to see him back with the 6 upside down

Damn, very bad news. Martinelli has been delivering consistently in the CL.
A hamstring injury at this stage probably rules him out for the rest of the season. Big blow.
Is it a big blow? He has 1 goal in the league.
I don’t believe we would miss him personally.

1 goal 3 assists in about 982mins, not much game time in the prem; while Doku with 1491 mins has 2 goals 5 assists.
What the team will miss is his impact in the champions league where he has been arsenals best player 11 games 6 goals and 2 assists.

Saka’s back, we did at least look more threatening when he came on. If Martinelli’s out maybe it’s time to give Trossard a run in the side again.
Drossard started well but I think his time is over…he had a purple patch and I still think he can have impact, but he is not the answer (we probably dont have the answer on the left at the minute)
I agree, but maybe knowing it’s his last season with us might give him a bit more spark to get us over the line.
I appreciate I’m just trying to be positive to cope with my runners-up PTSD so please, just humour me.

I think we all know that he is limited. The talent we saw all those years ago, that was all there was to it. He can still take his game up a notch though if he uses one of the 2 footballing brain cells he has.
The thing with Martinelli is he’ll do well in a pure counter-attacking side with lots of space in behind. It was evident in 22/23 season when we were playing lightning counterattacks and it was his best season at the club. The issue begins when he has to play in front of the opposition defense and that’s where his lack of technical ability and footballing intelligence gets exposed. Think it’s better for him as well as the club to move him on in the summer.
