Yep, I think his time is up. 18 months now and he doesn’t really look like he’s added anything to his game.
I’ll lose a huge amount of faith in this regime if a winger isn’t our top priority this summer.

Did he start again yesterday? Not sure why trossard didnt get the nod if Kai started up too.
Right now it doesn’t matter what one starts. They both aren’t good enough as first team players and should both be 70th minute subs when the first choice world class player we should have brought is tired.

It’s sad and funny how when Trossard has a bad game we want Martinelli on. But when Martinelli starts and has a stinker then we want Trossard on lol. Both are underperforming. Frustrating.
Really sad to see how Martinelli’s progress has been limited. He seems to be very much low on confidence, and extremely inconsistent with the basic attributes as a left winger. Maybe we should try Jesus on LW, and let Martinelli relax on the bench and be used as a #9.
I played FIFA after a long long time this season and I laughed when this first showed up for me. Isn’t the lady the medical coordinator? Why is she throwing the lad out? Does she do a medical check before letting them go?

Fair but I just can’t see the logic for why Martinelli started.
- What did he do midweek that Jesus didn’t? Why only keep one in the team.
- Everton aren’t a high line team for him to run in behind
- Trossard has better chemistry with havertz, so if you start the big man then start Leo alongside.
Martinelli and trossard been equally bad at times this season but gotta use them in the right moments at least and give ourselves a chance.
Didn’t watch the entire game so i was wondering the same as well. I wonder if Arteta expected Martinelli to exploit Ashley Young.
So much potential and it really seemed like he’d arrived in 22/23.

It did but looking back the one dimensional aspects to his play and lack of key fundamentals were going to make it difficult to sustain or repeat rather
There’s just too much lacking in his locker and thats why he just won’t be the answer for us in the position.

Am still a Martinelli fan but I refuse to believe that Jesus or even Sterling can’t match or better what he’s churning out on the left at the moment.
For how Arsenal are playing, Sterling should be starting on the left and not Martinelli, Trossard, or Jesus.
