Gabriel Martinelli (11)

That’s just not true lol. Look how many games Richarlison got

It’s ok, I don’t expect nor force you to agree with it. Clearly there are others who agree with me though so I’m not talking mad here.

Perhaps the usage “sensational” was a bit eye-popping for some so I apologize if this triggered the reaction.
Unless it isn’t obvious enough English is my second language and sometimes I may phrase things wrong or use the wrong words here and there. I can imagine some people facepalming at some of it.

He’s very unfortunate that he plays where Vinicius plays. Also, for a Brazilian, Martinelli isn’t a flair player as such so may not be as easy on the eye as they’re used to.

I think he’s fucking brilliant though. Genuine matchwinner in the world’s toughest league and he’s got bollocks.

That’s something I don’t understand. Why does he get so many games for Brasil

Tite liked him and preferred Richarlison as a more traditional striker that mainly stays in the box.

Richarlison was and is absolute shite !? How the fck he gets game time over Martinelli is ridiculous !!

Tbf to him, he has performed for them. I’ve shat on him before but he turns into a different player for them. Brazil are in a bit of a limbo right now with a temporary manager in place and Ancelotti planned to take over next summer. The last few call-ups have been a bit weird and experimental. Lots of focus on players that actually play in Brazil.

I hope Jesus, Gabriel and Martinelli find a spot in there because they all deserve it.

I honestly imagined you as being some English guy lol so yes it isn’t obvious (which is meant as a compliment)

You know what, I agree with Bavin, it honestly is not obvious at all, I genuinely thought you were a native speaker lol. Never occurred to me that you weren’t, which is odd, as a large proportion of people on here aren’t from the UK.

If you don’t mind me asking, where do you come from? What’s your mother tongue?

Had absolutely no idea that English wasn’t your first language.

Malaka!

My dad n step mum live in Corfu now they’re retired, probably been there about 20 times since childhood. Need to check out some of the other islands and the mainland one day, but hard to bring myself to spend extra money when I have a free place to stay in Corfu!

Never been there but I have friends who have and they all rave about it. Tbf, it’s the same story for all Greek islands really. Great spots to relax for your holidays or retirement.

It’s obviously not clear. But to add to what Jake said, that is a compliment. We thought you were an English speaking Premier League obsessive  you do it so well. so even more kudos…. Hey, you’ll know, has anyone signed him? My puns are being wasted.

He’s lying to cover his terrible Martinelli take!

To be completely honest, I would never have suspected English being an additional language for GC. Shocked to be honest.

I’m coming in early on this - Martinelli will be our player of the season and top scorer.

Equally as shocked as everyone else. Always impressed when anyone can master a second language so hats off to you. Always had you down as one of the younger trendy ones on here but now who knows!

Correct, but that’s not what GC stands for.

Tbh, I haven’t particularly hidden that I’m not originally from the UK(but I do live in the UK for more than a decade now). :joy:
Pretty positive it was brought up before years ago. I was actually thinking what the context of it was. It may have been about the whole debate around “supporting” multiple teams. I know for sure @Calum once called my nationality and I was surprised how he knew it. I may have slipped that out before, not sure.
