Gabriel Jesus (9)

That is some film.

Time to salvage what money we wasted on this crock

This is sad news for him and forces our hand in the transfer market, if a striker wasn’t on our shopping list already. I guess this should rule out him starting any of the remaining games for us.

Again he’s been a good bridge signing but we need a new clinical focal point of the attack, he is not it

Also he has declined physically and lost that edge most likely due to persistent injury, still skilful but too many touches too tippy tappy and of course his finishing is nowhere near good enough

Another title run in and Joga Bonita goes missing. Can’t be our starting cf.

Him and Zinny and spend the rest of the season playing Counter Strike for all I care. Rubbish players.

Bro is spent

Runs like someone who just ate 28 hot dogs

Was nice while it lasted, time for someone to replace him

Firmly in the Partey camp for me now. Good player when 100% fit but completely unreliable.

damn… so we basically have the worst striker in the premier league leading the line for us? How did we get here?

Its funny you know because i wonder if him and Zinchenko were not even right for Mancity. Pep must’ve been laughing when he sold these 2 to us. I find it very telling that the team is passing them by when they should be the ones that were pulling us up and showing the team how it is done. It is weird that these 2 came from a winning team and the team seems to be better than them mentally physically etc. These 2 don’t seem serious when the rest of the team are trying to compete when these 2 come in we seemingly go downhill.

There seems to be a losers energy with him and Zinchenko Almost as if ‘i have won trophies so whatever’ and the rest are trying to get somewhere.

I remember that time when Zinchenko tried to do a team talk and everyone ignored him almost to the point they looked like they were trying to tell him to sod off. Something isnt right with these 2 and i really cant wait to see the back of them they seem more of a hinderance than a help.

Then when you think our back up striker is Nketiah who potentially is even worse :skull_and_crossbones:

Jesus needs 25 chances to score one and Nketiah needs 10 games.

If you base your entire analysis on just one cherry-picked metric, yeah, I guess we do.

I think that’s a little unfair. We played some really great stuff the first half of last season with them in the team.

They’re ultimately just role players for me. Jesus doesn’t score enough and Zinchenko isn’t secure enough, and they both have availability issues. It’s something City could carry because of their ridiculous squad but we brought them in to raise the floor of the squad. Zinchekno was a better fit for us last season than Tierney and Jesus was very good linking play and dropping in to allow (2023-24 Bundesliga Champion) Xhaka to push up.

But the team’s moved beyond them as guaranteed starters.

This. They’re great bench options to have but not starters especially at this stage of growth.

A couple improvements to our starting eleven and we can beat anyone
