He was a great goal scorer but I wouldn’t put him up with a Kane chance for chance, he was more liable to miss a chance compared to a select few is what’s seperarting him I suppose.
Kane and Lewandowski for example are elite finishers
Maybe the conversion rate is high with Kane & Lewandowski, but in terms of variation & skills, Suarez’s finishing is absolute elite. He has that South American touch to his finishes.
I do acknowledge that the point of finishing should include a high conversion rate. In Suarez’s defence, he is more likely to create something out of nothing, which makes up for his missed chances.
I will take Suarez over Kane & Lewandowski in my fantasy lineups.

Sticking to pure finishing they are above him since yes they would have higher conversion
Of course with regard to all round skills he is a rarity, when you couple finishing + creation I don’t think there’s been anyone better than him barring Messi in the past decade.

True story…I was doing a two person passing drill with my teammate in football training. Shearer was there in his jeans and chelsea boots.
He decides to step in for my teammate. He proceeds to leather the ball at me for like a straight minute testing out my touch. Ridiculous power and he wasn’t even trying.

Heading ability as well was superior to Suarez. Can’t be overlooked when you’re looking for out and out forward qualities in as a 9.
Great striker. I can remember us being strangely linked with him again in ?2006? but I don’t know how substantive it was.

That is down to tactics set by our manager. If Arteta wanted a striker who mostly hoovers up front, doesn’t contribute much elsehwere and just scores a bit more he’d have probably gotten someone else me thinks.
And also the players you’d rather have need to both exist in reality and want to come here, which is a tall order.

I don’t know how to say this without sounding like an utter dick but i honestly feel that Gabby J should sort his bloody life out. How in the hell are you doing all this technical stuff beating 5,6,7 players jinxing into the box and then spooning it over or putting it wide with nothing else left to do.
To me (i don’t know why i feel this way but it just really angers me) how can you show that prowess and then have a gaping goal and the easiest bit slotting it home he balls its up 95% of the time.
Yet again how do you find yourself in the right place at the right time 80% of the time and constantly let chances go.
Always, always bloody always the hard stuff he does with relative ease and the easy goalmouth stuff he screws up. I find myself shouting at the TV at this guy…i love the guy but i often find myself saying ‘is he taking the piss’
No one is telling me that a player with this skill set (and we hear in training he is lethal, clinical, amazing from staff to player and arteta) cant hit a barn door when needed. This guy needs a mentality check or something because this doesnt wash.
Either he genuinely is taking the piss out of us or he needs a damn kick in the ass. How is the entire bloody set of staff saying he is amazing and deadly and players as well and then when it matter the most he misses easy chances that bloody defenders can put away.
I know people are gonna say ‘he aint that guy he has always been that way’ to me that tells me this guy is not serious because if you can do it in training and you can score wordlies and then on the pitch you cant score a damn tap in either you are taking the piss or he needs a kick in the ass or needs to grow some mentality.
If he can damn well sort this last bit out he would be amazing, but right now i have to admit he really is annoying to me.
