I think getting rid of Horner is an attempt at convincing Verstappen to stay at RB.

Love a European sprint weekend

Lewis having a madness today! From starting in the pit lane to 7th after 16 laps

That was the highlight of the race. Those few laps were fun and after that it was a snooze fest.

Not really F1 related but still an excellent watch.

Love the Hungarian GP…should be a good one!

Excellent race today and an excellent win by Lando. A true champions drive.

Absolute gift from Lewis to Max, probably the mclarens will still pull away again but he’s right back in it from nowhere now.

Max still the best driver on the grid, great lap to take pole. Norris did well too, more clutch than you usually get from him.

when I watch F1 I don’t know why but I always see Verstappen as Manchester City, Piastri as Liverpool and Norris as Arsenal.

Because max always does what it takes (incl cheating) to win. Piastri has the best equipment combo (Liverpool) and Norris is very good but the nearly man who messes up when it matters (Arsenal).

Good analogy…a bit like Arsenal, Norris can’t see to get an easy win! Always has to do it the hard way

Once again max (little bit naughty at the start) and red bull got the strategy over McLaren.

Not sure what they’re still waiting for, gonna have to catch 3 secs a lap on soft at this rate.

Clearly a case today of the track just not suiting the McLarens…unfortunately it has been a dull race!

Yeah but they had the chance to switch to hard before Max after seeing Russell and leclerc going well on them. Went from 5.5 secs behind to now 19 lol.

I think the tone was set really when max was aggressive at the start and then the way he gave the place back losing way less than he gained.

First 5/6 laps were good then boring like you said.

I mean I disagree, theres no strategy in the world mclaren could of used to stop max winning this race. He was faster in every single phase from start to finish. Norris wasnt keeping max behind even if they somehow manufactured track position.

I wasn’t saying they would’ve won but they should’ve moved first rather than let max go to hard and just end it.

He wasn’t gonna sit there and watch his tyres pop.

Lando getting hate all over socials for the swap lol, people in comments are really dumb trolls.

If Lando went first then Oscar could’ve been completely off the podium and Lando closing the gap even more, assuming the pit stops stayed the same. Lando played the team game and they rightly swapped the cars back.

Mclaren can get in the bin. Honestly what the fuck was that. Mclaren are trying to play God but artificially removing concequences of any bad luck. Like wtf.

Max said it best, penalties, going off, slow stops… all part of racing. Where do you draw the line? We know Mclaren did this because Norris had an engine failure last week and is now 30 points behind. There’s no way Piastri would be so compliant if they were close on points.

Reality is, Mclaren would absolutely love Norris to win it. They’ve nurtured him for years, his dad has put money into the team. They’d have media content overload and make bucks from that (Zak Brown would be jizzing over the marketing). Norris has more fans etc. Any chance they get they will favour Norris. Change my mind.

It’s a shame for their plans that Piastri is the better driver.
