It would have been a mess and I don’t think they would have recovered from it. They got rid of the inbox in FM25 apparently, the thing that keeps the game going so you’d have to click on separate boxes to see updates regarding important info. Insanity.

I always felt it was a mistake to introduce visual depictions of matches in the series. The text commentary made the game feel far more realistic because it got your brain to fill in all the blanks.

Spent 3 hours playing yesterday. Still couldn’t find the ”future transfer in” page. Suddenly I had completed this and this signing. Wonderful.

Damn I was finally ready to spend big on a laptop so I could play the new FM, might not go ahead with the purchase now.
Haven’t played FM properly since 2008, that game was so so addictive.

i keep saying i will buy a switch for it, but thats just my nostalgia talking to me. I know I will play for month or so then lose interest and therefore a waste of about £200. 
I’d wait for FM27. I’m lucky in that I have spare time and a PC that can still just about hold its own with new games. FM27 will feature all the fixes and changes that will come as a result of the negative feedback the game has coming on official launch day in just over a week.
In better news, the EPL fixtures match those of the real thing and I won 2-1 at Old Trafford.

I beat Liverpool 2 nil happy times.
Anyway theirs been a patch that’s fixes some bugs so that’s fast. Still not fixed the injury bug during matches tho.
Edit big issue I have with the game why can’t I scale the game in window mode like previous games. Is that a unity thing.

I think the Switch version is FM Touch which I think is some sort of halfway between mobile and desktop. I got a switch this year and I was thinking I might keep an eye out for this when it goes on sale.

I haven’t tried yet because I haven’t had any time to play, but within Steam you can make any game windowed.
Right-click the game in your library, select Properties, and under the General tab you have Launch Options. Type “ -windowed “ in the text box.
Whether it breaks it/makes it look silly I’m not sure, trying the game for the first time tonight
With this type of feedback from the beta, they definitely going to delay the release.

I tried that but didn’t give me any options.
But I already have the game in windowed mode I just can’t scale it so I can have look at the game and internet at the same time

Looks like they haven’t made it responsive enough yet to allow custom scaling. Hope they add it in the full version as I’m the same lol. I sometimes watch a movie or football next to my windowed FM screen

I’m wondering if we’re going to break the record of pre-release fixes. I think it was 3 in FM 19.
Some of these are game-breaking.
Release date is really Nov 4th? That’s really poor planning releasing the beta so close to the live version.
Maybe FM26 really is the beta for FM27, and what you’re playing now is the alpha

this is what they have done for years release the game 2 weeks before release so can find bugs and get feedback so can fix it before release.
They really should be doing that well in advance. Even EA go earlier than that with beta testing.

If that’s how their development schedule works, then so be it. Personally I don’t see why you don’t release the beta in the summer, and let it cook for a few months.
I don’t see any benefit to leaving it so late. You leave yourself very little wiggle room when you release your beta this late in development, and I can imagine the FM team at SI are now working around the clock to fix everything before Nov 4th.
