Is this our record sale?

Should be. It’s Oxlade Chamberlain currently.

So nothings confirmed yet?

@Leper bumped this thread and seeing his message I thought the move became official.

Have we even had Ornstein comment on it yet. If not then the deal is probably still getting worked on.

Apparently his medical is tomorrow. 45m Euros.

Ā£38.5m doing the rounds.

Fabrizio Romano quoting €30m plus significant add ons. That’s base fee is pathetic if true.

A very poor deal ngl. I think it’s around Ā£30m-Ā£35m with 17% sell on clause. You just know Monaco will sell him for double of that fee.

We are so bad at selling it’s ridiculous. You have someone like Cole Palmer going for Ā£45m. Could use better examples but Arsenal need to improve with their selling.

Good luck Flo. Hope he thrives.

Any buy back clause in there? Though I doubt he’s gonna turn out to be an elite striker tbh.

Yeah we got worked over a little.

I’m not sure if it’s a function of Arsenal clearly needing to sell, a down market outside of England (and KSA), people not being sold on a guy who scored a lot in Ligue 1 or some combination of the three.

It’s an okay return but definitely looks worse when stacked up against this purported Cole Palmer fee.

Nothing earth shattering but the club could have lost him for nothing if he ran down his deal and didn’t sign that extension in 2021

Good luck to him

Gutted about this one, should’ve pushed nketiah out instead.

Also the fee is garbage.

Thats assuming hes better than Nketiah…
Not like teams were falling over themselves to sign him…

I said it already I think but we need to compare this deal to only those outside of the PL and Saudi.

Kane, Bellingham, couple in at PSG…has anyone gone for more under them terms?

I’m just happy we got money for him but frustrated that we got so much less than Atalanta got for Hojlund (who is injured for the first month of the season)

I mean Atalanta was selling to United. Premier League holding most of the wealth works both ways unfortunately, outside of a select few clubs the money just isn’t there. To acquire these big fees on a normal basis.

Chelsea got gotten good fees by specifically selling to either: Saudis, Us, United or City. Pulisic went for a measly 17m to Milan. Even Liverpool and City’s biggest sales this season have been to the Saudis.
