Will Porto sign their boy this summer?

10million Euro offer incoming.

Makeweight in the Gyokeres deal might be a smart idea.

tell me which video game or football manager would do that, I would buy it immediately.

I’m a bit worried he stays as backup

Will probably go on loan again.

£34m down the drain in this guy. Huge L for the club, Really thought he would kick on and be that Ode backup.

Can’t afford him is basically code for them wanting him on the cheap! Cunts

Porto have been on the down the past 2 years, they’ve been getting weaker year on year, they’ve once again missed out CL.
No chance they could have signed him permanently.

Doubt that was our hope. Best case is that he’s done enough to impress other potential buyers.

Seems odd to exclude him from pre-season if there are currently no takers for him and we’ve not got a winger in by then. Surely a player who is getting minutes in friendlies is more appealing to buyers than one that’s been training on his own and isn’t anywhere near match fit.

I smell clickbait.

Yea they definitely haven’t made decisions like that yet

8 goal contributions in 26 games in the Portuguese League looks rather bad. He had 20 goal contributions in 27 games the season before we bought him so I can see why Mikel/Edu thought he could be something special.

Two more years left on his contract so we just have to hope someone takes a gamble on him like we did.

I think there’s a good player in there, but he just looked a bit lost in the EPL. I think he would shine in a less physical league. Hopefully a Saudi one.

If we only get two attackers there may be a decision to be made about whether to loan/sell Nelson and/or Vieira.

Which would you prefer us to keep as a more effective bench option than Sterling?

Vieira is technically more gifted than Nelson by quite some distance. He can also score a screamer every now and again.

Ideally I want rid of both of them, but I actually think we could potentially get a higher value for Nelson than Vieira. English tax and all that.

Spain would be good for him, take baena and use vieira as a makeweight.

Yes I’m aware it rarely/never happens.

In what I’ve watched of him from Porto’s games, he really stuck out as their best outfield player.
Mora and Samu are also quite good but their inexperience is obvious when you watch them.

Not sure if we’ll entertain another loan for him. Not sure how much he’s managed to raise his stock with his campaign in a pretty poor Porto side compared to other years.
