Apparently we had an option to call him back at the end of December but we chose not to take it.
It does sound like we until Jesus got injured we didn’t step up our efforts on recruiting a forward.

There’s not much money in the Italian game at the moment, maybe the UCL teams can spend a bit more but that really limits his options. I can see him going to Porto full time for a nominal fee.

Well, it is said that ‘there’s one born every minute’. So let’s find that one. We paid about 30mil, as I recall and the market in general has gone up since then. So I’d be happy to get that. Taking into account market progression, that’d be around 35mil. So a 5mil loss - not a lot by todays standards. One of the promotion teams might take a punt on him.
20m would be fair.
