Lokonga for Partey is extremely suss right now. Even Elneny stepped up better at the back end of the season. For now these backups for Partey are reliable for maybe 4/5 games max. Lokonga has so much to prove
A young central player would appear to be the very last thing that we need. Between Odegaard, ESR and Lokonga, we have more than enough development happening in this area. If he can play wide, add Saka and Martinelli to that list.
If he plays like Aouar though and can partner Partey or Xhaka, then he might be a shrewd signing. Josh told me to BE EXCITED - I’m not.

It’s not just Trent being a natural baller though - Klopp deserves credit for absolutely weaponising him. But to come out so on top as a bloody RB and in the hardest league…he’s a fucking top player.

He’s a CAM, similar profile to Odegaard, wtf? Do we really need to spend a big chunk of our budged on a CAM? Unless Arteta sees hum as a replacement for Xhaka in that 8 role, but he’s a mainly attacking player… I guess he’s going full on Pep.
