I agree he’s got a boatload of talent. But I was worried of a Veron situation.
Would he a huge boost if he is able to contribute in the second half of the season
I don’t know why he is always playing next to the last defender when he has the skills to play great passes. He should be replicating what the Odegaard role.

That first assist was very reminiscent of his assist against Bodø. He has a hell of a cross on him.
And that second assist was something else, great vision and superb pass for Eddie.
So obvious that he just needs time to acclimatise, I think he’s got boatloads of talent and will be able to shoulder some of Odegaards burden in time to come.

More of final third player than Ode really. I liked what I saw against Wolves when he filled in for Xhaka.
I would have liked to seen him on against Newcastle tbh, anyway, what’s done is done.
I hope he gets more minutes in the future.

He does better in advanced central positions, he’s not an effective wide player for me.
I love seeing that sort of delivery and final pass from him. We know he’s capable of moments like that.
He stepped in for Ødegaard in a PL game at the beginning of the season, and although he wasn’t sensational, he was visible and kept our game flowing. He also banged in a corker. We have seen again last night what he can do (albeit against shite opposition).
He needs performances like this to build his confidence. I’m hoping we get an easy draw in the EL which will give him 2 more starts.

Had a good chance to impress, had a couple of decent touches first half when we had control of the ball but then faded away slowly in the 2nd half until he totally disappeared when playing on the right in Saka’s role.
Didn’t take his chance in my opinion. Should have shown more hunger.

I have the reverse reaction to Vieira compared with Trossard. I always expect him to be better than he is. He’s not a bad player but nor is he the finished article. He’s a fair bit off it.

Another 20 pounds of pure lean muscle wouldnt harm also. I have seen beefier 7 year olds on the streets.

I thought he was relatively good first half, but yes he did fade as the match went on.

Since I gave it to Lokonga, he also needs to up his game off the ball.
He’s not awful at it like Lokonga mind you but I see a lot Ozil in him.
Puts the work in off the ball by running and covering the right spaces but you’ll never see him make a challenge or attempt to steal the ball. Likely intentional as he strikes me as a guy who would break his leg attempting a tackle.
In Denmark? Not buying it.
