Maguire is likely blocking the view down the line. That’s the only thing I can think of as to why the lino can’t be sure.
How do they not see the guy at the top of the D? The linesman on the far side is right there and it’s not even a close one, he’s legitimately over a metre offside.
The player at the D is not active though, right? So the lino won’t be using them as a reference unless they are first to touch the ball (or become immediately active).
