Everton

He is right though.
Arteta and Arsenal should get 5 point deductions for how they have handled things

Bring it on, we’ll still win the league :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Given the nature of how bad the bottom teams are this year Everton probably needed a 20 point deduction to make it interesting.

Hard for me to get around this deduction when other dealings have gone unpunished this far.

What I will say though is they’re seperate issues, Man City’s doesn’t have anything to do sustainability like Everton’s crime.

you guys all realise these comments are not real right?

The funny thing is that even after the 10 point deduction…they aren’t bottom of the league! How bad must Burnley fans feel now lol

That would be a terrible idea. Each charge would have to be brought separately which would be over 50 years in of itself, and then each one would be appealed which would drag it on exponentially.

No, what’s best is to take your time, and make sure your case against Man City is air tight.

Dominoes should stop making pizza and do comedy full time.

FTFY

Interesting yes but a bad precedent to set because if City are actually brought up on charges (unlikely) imagine the lawsuits teams could be bringing up from years ago. Would bankrupt the league. Maybe hyperbole saying they’d go bankrupt, but its a wasps nest the league wont want to disturb if they can avoid it.

Edit: btw maybe I’ve misunderstood. They are trying to sue everton owenership for damages? I think they might have a case against the PL too tho.

My guess is the PL has well insulated itself against being sued by a current or former member.

But then it’ll be too late to have any material impact on those who it affected. At least with an incremental approach the deductions, relegations and titles can occur immediately - preventing the cunts from winning more shit they don’t deserve

City will appeal everything regardless tbh.

City and Chelsea can appeal as many times as they want, but if found guilty, they just should be booted to the lowest division, for taking advantage to waste time.

Is there even recourse to appeal it indefinitely? There’s no access to the Court of Arbitration on this.

It wont. Even if you sent them all the way to non league, they would get back to the PL. Like Rangers did.

The only way to do this, is to hit them with all 115 charges at the same time. That’s the only way you are going to get a meaningful punishment. Plus, they’ll only be able to appeal once, rather than 115 times.

Good point! This makes better sense upon second thought. Wonder how many years it’ll take though before the Premier League takes action.

An appropriate punishment for Chelsea and Man City would be a points deduction or relegation and a several season ban on transfers.

This would mean they wouldn’t be able to strengthen or rotate players as frequently, then they’d have the same sort of injury problems that normal clubs do, so would drop down to mid table then lose a lot of weather supporters.

So when they eventually are allowed to buy players again, but only with money generated by themselves, we’ll see how far they get.

Wonder if it’s possible the appeal is successful and they get their 10 points back during another season.

Not sure how that would work.

If they were relegated to League 1 and below they would be in deep trouble. Pretty positive at that point they will just jump ship and focus on some other club they own or try to buy some other PL club.
