Not expecting a lot here to be honest.

Must be the first time ever we have played at 20:00 on a Saturday night two weekends in a row

It’s very likely Man City will be top of the league before we kick off.

Expecting us to have recovered from our Wolves blip and start strongly.

Hopefully much sharper in front of goal as a result.

Raya;
Timber, Saliba, Hincapie, Calafiori;
Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice;
Saka, Merino, Trossard

0-3 Arsenal

I’d start Jesus.

Different dynamic from the off, grab a goal or two. Job done.

Comfortable win needed.

Might check out for the season if Merino is actually gonna be considered our starting striker

Lucky to have a week prep for this one at least.

Dangerous fixture. Massive match in the context of where our season is.

I think Mikel needs to go back to our most effective formation this year.

4-2-3-1

Trossard starts, Eze in the 10 as a second striker, Merino up top facilitating.

If it doesn’t work by the half, take Eze off and go back tot the single pivot, Ødegaard and Jesus come on.

Gyokeres being dropped would be admittance it’s not going to work out, I don’t see it happening.

absolute BS - Gyokeres was never gonna be the starter in every game/scenario - Arteta was always going to change according to who we were playing and who was available.

Everyone gets it, you don’t like Gyokeres, you are not alone but seriously you invest way too much time in Gyokeres hate

I don’t even care who plays at this point.
Plenty of options. A week to prepare.
If we can’t assemble a decent line up here we might just give up.

I’m not sure if Jesus is still ready for a PL start, he’s been out for a very very long time.
Gyokeres could do well in an away game.

If it was up to me…

Timber Saliba Hincapie Centaur

Zubi Rice

Saka Eze Trossard/Noni
Gyokeres

With plenty of options to chage stuff later on.
Start strong, 3:0 at HT. Rest some players later on. That would be the tactics.

So the crunch time starts for Arsenal. Aim for 13/16 points in next 6 games and I will take our title run seriously.

Everton are missing key players but it’s not the opponents that have been the issue, it’s the old habits Arsenal keep showing.

I’d like to see intent, tempo and shots on target. For god sake, test the keeper. Need more central attacking play. Variation in attack.

Best 11 can be and should be opposition dependent…A team coming to attack us vs a team coming to frustrate with a low block is not the same…
