Same old patterns I raised few weeks ago.
Good in possession but predictable. The ball goes to Saka and that’s that. We are not converting the possession into chance or putting their keeper under pressure.
It’s going to be a long season. We lack the extra pace we had in fluidity as well.

Very poor half of football from us, they should have been blown away but we’ve been slow and not sharp enough at all

The only positive so far is that we have restricted Everton to celebrate when they get a throw in and stuff.
The few times we have opened them we lacked the quality to finish it off.
Eddie needs to make a lot of runs in behind to unsettle the backline and create some space for our ballers. Too bad Martinelli got injured cause he was making the good runs.

I do think the early 15-30 minute 2 nil leads from us is well and truly over, so is our ability to convert chances from set pieces. But we still have at least 50 mins of the game left.
Every match so far we’ve been too slow. Only time we ping it is between defence and midfield. Never going forward. Too slow with passes over the top meaning player ends up just offside. And this fucking ref. I want to see him take an elbow to the face or get studs scraped down his leg and then have everyone laugh at him. What a prick.
