That team did have Chiellini, Bonucci, Verrati and Insigne tho. Much more quality than they have now.
I’d take Calafiofi and Bastoni over Bonucci any day of the week. That guy was a certified scrub who made so many defensive errors and was always made to look better by Barzagli and Chiellini.
His stint at Milan exposed him big time.
But 2021 squad was much stronger. Even with Berardi on the bench, younger Jorginho, Chiesa before the injuries.
