Ethan Nwaneri (53)

10-15 minutes a league game, and start for cup/lesser opponents is good enough.

Nwaneri has a long way to go before the ludicrous expectations some people have of him are realised.

I would maybe even start him against PSG or Southampton.

What’s there to lose?

The team could use some rotation too btw, after playing the same lineup in these last few games that were quite tough for all the 100 mins.

Jorginho

Nwaneri Rice

Looks pretty good.

If Merino is coming back next week, probably not.

I like rotation, but you know, the pressure to win is a bit too big for Arteta to start rotating this early.

He’s not coming back to the pitch straight away.

He’s only coming back to full training.

I think Jorginho will start midweek but would be surprised if Ethan does, but he’ll definitely get minutes off the bench.

if there is a substitution opportunity, I think Arteta will give to Merino (if he is available) over Ethan.
my opinion.

Can’t keep flogging the same damn team

He’s ready

We will pay for it in latter half of the season

White, Jorginho, Jesus and Sterling all likely come into the starting lineup over the next week in one of the two fixtures.

I really hope so

Because season to season it catches up with you

Merino won’t be available to play in the next 10 days or so surely.

Of course when fit Merino is ahead of him clearly.

Give him the start against Southampton

then play Ethan.

we have a good problem here.

I agree, but we’ve got the quality in reserve now to be able to not notice a dropoff with rotation.

Will be in an even better position if we get to a point where the majority of the squad is healthy with Tomiyasu (don’t laugh at the thought of him being fit!), Odegaard, Zinchenko and Merino returning.

It’s amazing how you can tell within seconds of him being on the pitch with men that not only does he belong but the quality is already light years ahead of most.

I don’t think we should get ahead of ourselves in terms of how much he needs to contribute right now, especially when Ode returns but fuck me this kid is unreal.

this means we are no need to rush Ode back.
As of now, we have enough coverage.

We still need the main man back asap, keeps us ticking

No rush, means let him heal completely.
Doesn’t mean we do not need him :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That initial run, and then the shot.

I was a kid watching Mexico ā€˜86 again.
