Ethan Nwaneri (22)

Not even starting for England U21 at the Euros. Strange.

The boy is starting tonight.

Is the game on UK TV?

I look forward to the social media clips of Nwaneri’s brace.

Shit performance and result

He needs to play more…

Played LW today, and not much overlap support from Livramendo.

Nwaneri was crap and his miss cost me money.

Disgusting to play a guy of his profile as a LW.
Has Messi ever played as a LW?

Fairly positive Messi was a left winger when he was young and was initially used on the right as Ronaldinho had that spot on lock at Barca.

Worked out great in the end. Not sure if he was used on the left again after making his debut, I’d be shocked if he didn’t on an occasion or two for either club and country.

This whole idea that players can’t play one side or the other is ridiculous. The true best players just perform, if he had a bad game that’s just what it is.

Robben also played plenty on the left wing and was still a top player when he did, yes his output grew from the RW cutting inside, but he didn’t become a better player.

Precisely.

What, mate are you on drugs right now?

Ronaldinho a RW? (obviously played there earlier, but never at Barca)

Robben was a whole different case. Super comfortable on both flanks from the start, only took the RW primarily at Bayern.

It’s absolutely not a ridiculous idea.
You take away 50% of some players impact if you switch them to the other flank.

You think Messi would have anything near the career he had if he played on the left?
Now that’s ridiculous.

Same with Henry.

You read that wrong, I’m saying Ronaldinho had LW spot on lock so Messi had to play on the other side(and it worked out for the best).

Didn’t read that correctly, sorry, but you just confirmed me.

Messi was ALWAYS a RW for Barca, on senior level.

He could have played as a DM in the youth if you ask me, doesn’t matter, but they kept him on the right side for a reason when he joined the senior team.

Do we consider England U21s senior level?

Almost really, maybe not technically.

You have plenty elite world class players who are U21. I wouldn’t consider U21 as youth level really.

I just don’t think it’s a disgusting thing that he played LW on one occasions here.

I’d get it if he was wasted there for seasons and it wasn’t working but players at that age will usually play in a bunch of positions.
Usually it works well because players get to learn different things in different roles.

At Ethan’s age, any game time is valuable.

Don’t take it too seriously. Obviously it’s better for him to play anywhere than to watch the game from the bench.

It more of a response to the comments of him having a bad game. You definitely won’t see the best of him on that flank.
