I still love his gradual introduction to first-team. Granted he can take greater responsibility but he has been eased in and the pressure to perform is not added on a 17 year old.

Adding another 10-15 minutes to his usual playing time wouldn’t hurt him really.

Impact sub seems a really good role for him at the moment. He could definitely come on earlier at this point.

Yeah but you’re out of a title race now.
There’s a difference between him coming on when we are winning and relatively comfortable versus him coming on when we are dropping points. There was that game he came on in recently where he looked clueless, I forget who it was against.
I wanted to see more of him as well but we have to trust Mikel with this.

But it’s a good representation of how it’s impossible to have any nuance in a discussion about football online. If you think a young talent needs to be treated carefully, hasn’t yet proved that they’re ready to start regularly and you have concerns that some fans are putting them on too high a pedestal then people who read that have the take away of
