Emirates Stadium

In comparison to the other stadiums we are seeing get built, especially those in the states. It’s obviously still a very modern stadium.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

lol check any stadium built in the 80’s, 20 years is huge.

By that standard our stadium is holding up well, get the capacity sorted and worry about sprucing it up in 10 years. Only spurs can even come close in the prem and theirs is what, 3 years old?

I’m all for this…the club must keep moving forward and keeping up with the other big European teams. It would also be good to see some more people on the waiting list to get the opportunity of taking up a season ticket. I’m never giving mine up now I have one!

Forget electronic boards, when Highbury got a scoreboard and a clock, it made the news. :grinning:

Hadn’t seen that one before. Thanks.

I assume the letters would have corresponded to matches listed in the programme.

It all looks a bit like hard work for the poor buggers having to update matches, especially in the days before offsides when stupid scorelines were more common.

Only the half-time and full-time scores were displayed, not constant in-play updates. When I first went to Highbury, the letters were situated at ground level in the NE and SW corners.

So no XG then? No Opta based statistics?

Nope, none of that bollocks. Twenty-two blokes and a ball. That’s all we needed.
