Emile Smith Rowe

Villa would be a great move for him. They’ve missed Grealish and ESR is a similar style player.

This Arsenal system might not be good for his fitness and it’ll be difficult for him to crack the first eleven.

His two cameos in recent weeks were not good enough either.

As we move up the stages in our development. Some players must go. He’s done a brilliant job since he came into the team in 20/21. Maybe time to part ways if we get a good fee

He’d be a great fit for Villa.

He’s stunk since his return, but a ball-carrying, goal-scoring versatile forward from Hale End should be way down our list of players to move on.

Agree with this. To go to the next level, we will need to make some tough decisions. It just seems a little early to be moving ESR on.

If we got 75-90m combined for ESR and Balogun though, it will be hard to say no.

I think ESR is brilliant but I could be wrong. He could be another Iwobi or Willock.

Problem is his fitness issues keep ruling him out as an option for us.

The best ability is availability—cliche I know.

I can see ESR going for around 25m due to his fragility

Like fuck is he! 25m barely gets you a Championship player. He has to fetch more than Iwobi and Willock.

I doubt you get bids on the lack of games played this season.

It’s hard to imagine the club letting him go this summer. They’ll give him the next season to find back some form before making a decision. Long time out of it, came back under the worst circumstances under a manager that’s known not to to tinker with his side a lot.

Fuck that, rather keep him and take a chance on him staying fit and coming good.

The surgery is what gives me hope after a full preseason he might be ready to go from the off and not have the same injury setbacks once he’s involved again.

Yeah, you have to give the chance. Rashford looked like lost child on that pitch last season and a couple of months ago he was arguably the most in-form player in the world.

Football isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Gotta wait and see how he responds to this massive setback he’s had this season.

Well while we wait we need sufficient cover. Being in the Champions League means there’ll be more pressure on our squad.

ESR getting another injury and not being available will strain our squad further.

This season has certainly hit his value in the market quite hard, and although we need depth we don’t need to still have players the manager clearly doesn’t trust in the squad, so I see no good options really, barring him resurrecting his Arsenal career.

If Mikel is smart he’s not gonna count ESR as one the players he can rely on for next season. We’ll plan our summer assuming he’s gonna be a bit part player. No room for sentiments here cause we’re fighting against a team that moved on players like Jesus, Zinchenko, Sterling and Cancelo.

ESR has the next season to prove himself and I hope he can stay fit and rediscover his best form but if he doesn’t he’ll be gone.

This makes sense. Think we’ll buy an 8 and Jesus can play wide. A fit ESR will get ample opportunities to prove himself.

His stock is pretty low at the moment. Wonder if he’ll be able to pull an Aaron Ramsey and revitalise his career here. If its not looking likely, we should move him on as sad as that is to say.

Sometimes people grow out of those injury issues and sometimes you end up with a Greg Oden situation. The guy was built to play basketball but his body couldn’t actually handle him playing basketball.

I’m sorry but I hope our squad planning doesn’t revolve around either ESR or Tomiglassu staying fit for more than 1/3 of the season.

They should be luxury decent quality backups if they happen to stay fit but please god do not rely on them.
