Isn’t managing drug addicts and mentally ill people also the responsibility of the state? 
We’re going to have to get used to lots of pro reform/Farage comments from Musk over the next couple years.
If you met a someone who told you they donated Trump, met with Farage and openly states AfD is the only party that can “save” Germany, most people would regard that person as a rightwing nutter. Probs someone who you’d not want to willingly associate with.
The problem is that people give too much power to his posts.
They changed the whole bill the other day because of his tweet. Cowards.
The power element is largely attached to the threat of the world’s wealthiest man using his wealth to primary incumbents who disagree with his skewed view of politics. Certain representatives can’t fight that particular in a primary race.
Combine political financing with the influence of being a prominent user and owner of the biggest SM platform in the world which amplifies right wing content.
I think people would ignore what he says if he wasn’t fully willing to put his money where is mouth is, regardless of right or wrong.

I have scanned the programme and a lot of it sounds pretty reasonable.
On immigration they are firm. Even though I am pro-immigration, I can understand the concern people have with mass immigration of cultures and peoples that upend the local culture and results in violent outbursts.
So if there are any examples of what exactly makes AfD so controversial, I would like to see them in the context they are made.
The controversial aspect of AfD as I understand it is their association or rather…‘comfort’ with Neo-Nazi groups. I think that’s quite controversial. Especially in Germany.
Correctiv said that these included senior figures from the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), including Roland Hartwig, a close associate of party leader Alice Weidel.
Neo-Nazis from across Germany and Austria, as well as a member of the white supremacist Generation Identity group attended, the outlet said.

I have scanned the BBC article you shared. They do not mention who the neo-nazis are. I would like to have names and faces.
They do mention that some AfD polticians attended, they also mention:
Two members of the centre-right Christian Democrats (CDU) party are also said to have participated.
CDU is the party which ruled the most in post WW II Germany. Strange they would attend this meeting.
Again, without hard evidence: meaning names and faces of the neo nazis who attended the same meeting. All I have got is BBC just saying these people met with neo-nazis….
This is my issue, the same issue I had with Trump and the media / opponents calling him second coming of Hitler and a fascist etc. Just because we read or hear it. Doesn’t make it true.
That is why I am asking for specific examples in context.
The current biggest party in The Netherlands PVV is our equivalent to the AfD. They have been cast as far right as well. Only because of their strong stance on immigration. Economically they are left. By the way they are ruling and everything is the same as it was I can tell you.

And people say Musk isn’t influential. People who used to understand the danger of parties like AfD are now making excuses for them and say they are “not that bad”, and “no different to what we already have”.
It’s all very fascinating.

I have always argued why these parties are popular and will keep growing in popularity (left not addressing the real concerns people have got as a result of change in societal fabric and subsequently customs and culture), years before Musk.
Nowhere I say they are not that bad. I ask for concrete examples to back-up the assertion they are a neo nazi party as portrayed by the media.
And the PVV is the biggest party and ruling in The Netherlands. Since I live here, I can attest. Nothing so far changed. 
Musk managed to get @Forever to bat for AfD lol.
Also why has Musk allowed lies too spread and deleted evidence about the car attacker?
