Eberechi Eze

Enough of waiting for the right player, at the right price, while wasting opportunities of winning something.

The squad depth has been an issue that Mikel has highlighted a few times. We just have to address it this summer, and the way to do it is to get the best there is out there, as long as they raise the bar in the squad. Eze certainly does that.

For me, Eze is a great option as an inverted LW, then you got Madueke who can play on the outside. Throw Martinelli over to the right (who plays just as well on that side) then you have him and Saka providing the same options.
Switch the backups to their usual positions if Eze or Saka need a breather.

Yeah, the more I think about it, especially after the acquisition of Madueke, the more signing Eze makes perfect sense.

Or just as bad, depending on which way you swing.

Exactly, he isn’t rapid like Martinelli but he’s quicker than Trossard who’s playing out wide.
And let’s be real, Saka isn’t that rapid himself.

He’s a fantastic ball carrier. I don’t see it mentioned a lot, but he’s a tough lad, similar to other great ball carriers like Bukayo, Rogers, Leao, Kudus, etc.
Even if players catch up to him they usually have a hard time getting it off him.

Eze makes great sense because of the flexibility he brings.

When we need more control, could go with:

Zubi Rice Ode
Saka Gyok Eze

When we need to be a bit more attacking, could go with

Zubi/Rice Ode Eze
Saka Gyok Martinelli/Madueke

Or just replace Eze with Martinelli/Madueke on the left if the game demands us to run in behind the opposition.

I’d fully focus my attention on Eze if I were the Arsenal board. And he’s a pretty tidy player himself who’ll definitely add good value to our team.

We can hang with our rivals.

Yeah. I think he’s a very good athlete, both in terms of pace and strength. Not sure about stamina and running up and down, but that’s where rotation comes in and we do have great options now.

Regarding his playing style, he obviously loves to go into the central areas, but also loves to take players on on the touchline. You could find a compromise with him playing out wide and getting in central areas also, where we could really use his ability. Also, Gyokeres would help to cover that left wing massively since he loves to drift there when it’a open and is a strong runner with his feet both with or withouth a football.

Eze would be a great fit. I’d be basically just as excited with him as with Gyokeres if he signs.

Yeah sorry forgot, singing eze = win CL. My bad.

Liverpool won the PL with Gakpo
Having a productive replacement for Martinelli will make a world of difference.

We got it already in madueke.

Different players. Madueke more a touchline winger, Eze’s an inside playmaker.

Plus, Eze’s more productive in his output. Madueke is still working on that.

Martinelli himself can be productive. 15, 6 and 8 League goals is a decent return. But it’s not going to work with Rice behind him. I think as a squad player he deserves another chance too prove his worth. Shouldn’t be a starter though. With Zubimendi we have more creativity in the team and Gyokeres’ presence will take some attention away from him and Saka.

this argument does not make sense after arsenal waste money bought madueke who not even close arsenal level who must win major trophy next season especially he is also overpriced

I know exactly the difference, but I’m responding to the need for a winger better than martinelli only.

You know my stance on what I wanted/want it’s just better than Eze. 67m just thrown at whatever avail doesn’t make sense to me.

So what should we do then? Stick with what we’ve got?

Gyokeres to left, Havertz as CF

Not sure mate, I’d like a good option to be available to put the money towards as we need to fill the slot but I don’t see one.

Id keep zina as an option for midfield creativity and sign a young wing prospect for 15-20m I think at this point. Would always get roughly the money back on a deal like that.

For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t activate Eze’s clause for £67m.
And I don’t think the club is interested in doing so either.

If that’s what Palace expect, then they might as well consider Eze a part of their team for the upcoming season.
