Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I wonder what Everton fans must be thinking with these rumours. They’ve been proper shit, lost against Liverpool yesterday and now they’re hearing their star player is coming back from injury only to be sold. :sob:

Agent Rafa strikes again!

I’d definitely want a bit of creative control if I was doing an ad like that. For example, I’d have definitely asked for some lines that didn’t make me sound like a total cunt.

I could ask my brother but I’m not sure how active his support has been since around 2002

Had a cheeky look in their forums.
Seems like they’re divided themselves on how good he actually is.
Seen some suggest there’s a conspiracy about the length of his injury not being true and Everton are just protecting him so they can sell him in January.

DCL AT THE CARPET :fire::fire::fire::fire:

The way this season is going with most of the other clubs outside the top 3 all over the place, a decent CF signing upfront might actually help us finish in the top 4. Would be gassed if we got him in January but would want us to look around if we waiting until the summer.

Sterling.

Trouble is all it takes is one other big club to be interested and we’re out of the running, probably not the same likelihood for DCL.
(Not that it isn’t still worthwhile trying for Sterling)

If Everton are prepared to sell for 60m then you’d do it without much hesitation, but with concerns of other clubs coming in for him also. Different positions, but there are far less risks to consider than there were with Maddison, for example.

I doubt they are prepared to sell at that price though, but a player like DCL probably is a bit unsettled at Everton right now.

We signed this guy yet?

I could see this signing actually being a chance tbh, I reckon the really top clubs would be looking for someone with a few more tricks in his locker. We spend money and offer big wages, this is probably DCL ceiling as a starter.

Think the news about Ferran and Grealish not being in top form yet gets Sterling another run in this City team.
No chance he leaves now.

We probably have a better chance signing Grealish actually if he doesn’t convince Pep by the end of the season.

Announce DCL?
  • Yes
  • Not for me, Clive

He’s probably the only guy available in January from the “big” names because of Everton’s financial problems.

Getting the striker right is gonna be a tricky, can’t mess this up.
Rushing it in January can backfire but we need someone clinical up front to push on this season.
Need a prayer circle for Auba to straighten his shit out and get one last good season from him.

I voted no because I want someone better.

Everton have financial problems despite relatively new owners? Didn’t know about that. Not a good look for Usmanov either.

I didn’t know about it either until someone on the forum pointed it out during the summer transfer window.

That helps to explain the Rafa Benitez appointment, and the Rafa Benitez appointment seems to validate all the dot joining over how they will tackle finances until moving to the new stadium. We are in with a shout then.
