How the game has changed lol
£7.5m and £25k a week was big money in the PL in the mid 90s.
Love seeing the sports pages of old newspapers
Not just the media. He looked poor. He came after a bad time in Italy.
You’ll get people of that time say you could see the potential and blame Rioch now.
That’s not the truth of the matter though. Everyone was questioning him.
Did he play well from that moment on?
It was a turning point for sure. People wanted him to do well but it just wasn’t happening.
I absolutely hate hearing these classic moments with dubbed Martin Tyler commentary. It does my head in lol
It just sounds so robotic and just clearly not from the moment
that’s how he gets a long long long commentating career

As far as I’m concerned every day is Dennis Bergkamp day.
Sixteen year old me is going mental celebrating that goal in the Clock End ![]()
I still miss Highbury ![]()
why Wenger did not give him the armband on his last game?
He didn’t come on until the 79th minute.
Thanks for explaining
It hit me the day that squirrel interrupted play during that last season there. I realised the homely feeling of Highbury would be lost and so it was.
This is the first season I’ve felt affection for Ashburton Grove (not that I managed to go, but there you are), I’ll always love Highbury more.
My favorite ever World Cup moment wasn’t even an England moment. In the summer following my favorite ever football season. The start of the winning Wenger era when I was a freshman at university. Even had a sp💩rs fan living opposite in halls of residence.
