Results haven’t been great but he’s been looking better and more like his old self recently.
If he starts being more brave on the ball there’s more assists and goals coming out of him.
I think Rice has been getting back to his best. Thought he played well yesterday. Offered some good attacking threat too, more than some of our other players too.
He also doesn’t look like he needs pop out Laca’s oxygen tank out to see out a game anymore.
Thought Declan (nothing exceptional) Rice was pretty exceptional tonight!

That pass for Nwaneri’s goal was laser guided. It’s not being spoken about enough.
Agreed, I jumped out my seat when he made the pass, regardless of what Nwaneri did with it. It was sublime.

His first touch as well, he knew what he was going to do as soon as he walked towards the ball.
His interview now just mentioned that he’s been leaning into the #8 role even more and wants to get more assists. He got a few today didn’t he?

Much more like last season in recent games so it’s good to see.
Think when Nwaneri came on, Rice told him that pass was coming.
He had his hands up for about 15 seconds before it was swung over
He had is hands waving and the crowd were screaming for that pass too
