Was deflected so I think it is a little bit harsh on the keeper… that power and short-range deflection did just enough to put him off.

I think he might be being a bit sarcy, referencing people saying that Ramsdale perhaps should have done better on Rashford’s goal because he got a hand to it.

I knew Declan Rice thread on west ham forum will be buzzing post his first goal. They predictably hate him for saying “He didn’t understand football before meeting Arteta.”

I don’t (and won’t) do Sky but I just saw the match report and, honestly, the sight of Rice “wheeling away” (although it looked like he was running to me) in that shirt boiled my piss.

We gave him to Barca because he had no place in the starting lineup at Arsenal next to Cole or Gilberto (or Edu) in the middle.
Also, at that moment Barca were at their lowest point in the last 30 years or more (they finished 6th in 2003 just when he joined), while we were at our peak, so he was leaving to play for a weaker team. It was a transfer we barely felt at that time.
Definitely doesn’t belong to that list.
West Ham United fans have no fucking leg to stand on. When they lose countless of top tier players to bigger clubs, year-in, year-out; then you can complain.
Brighton fans have 10x more reason to be pissed at their players leaving than WHU fans.
If there’s any club in the EPL who knows what it’s like to lose your very best talent to other teams its Arsenal, Southampton & Brighton.
Everyone else has no leg.
West Ham think that because they won the Conference League, they’re bigger than The Arsenal.
Just another fanbase that would be happy to see this league become a permanent farmer’s league to Pep’s City.

That’s a weird phrase to use tbh. Why is Rice going to be at Arsenal for life? Very few players do that these days.

Gunner for Life doesn’t necessarily mean you will stay at arsenal all your life.
Gunner for Life could mean he will be an Arsenal fan and Fan’s favourite for Life even if he leaves Arsenal at some stage in his career.
We have many examples of players leaving Arsenal but still supporting Arsenal and similarly fans adore them despite leaving Arsenal.
He’s played for us for 4 PL games. If he’s a Gunner for Life, so is Havertz.
Saying it now, Peter Drury is such a cringe commentator
