The person I was replying to was talking about him being invisible.
One error isn’t really evidence of that, not to mention that conceding from corners like that is generally an issue where numerous players at fault, one leaves his man, another doesn’t react in time. Obviously also depends on how we were supposed to mark up in terms of man marking or zonal.
Still waiting for someone to provide some decent commentary on why his overall game was so poor.
His passing is nothing special and tbh he looked a bit confused at times like a lot of our players did with the weird hispter system we tried to play but again not a lot of talk here about how his overall game should have been.
We already addressed this. You can easily give theoretical examples because you’re saying he hasn’t met a standard, so what is the standard and what should it look like?

To me he is the Antony of DMs for a price tag of 105mil I expect more from him.

Doesn’t do anything Partey doesn’t already offer and can’t do it as good as him anyway.
Put the new midfield boys on the bench and get back to our lineup from last year. Rotate them in as everyone gets more comfortable.

Well it’s a forum and one of the things people use these for is to have discussions. So if someone says something then there’s a chance another person might ask them the reason why they said what they did. Hardly grounds to believe someone is out of their mind.
If you think a certain way and don’t want to provide reasoning for that then that’s completely fine, easy enough to say that 3 or 4 posts back.
Not sure the West Ham comparisons are that valid, much worse team than we are overall. Although they did win a European trophy, something we haven’t done since the 90s and guess who was playing as DM for West Ham in the final and throughout the competition? 
Partey is better than Rice of course. Key difference here is the age.

That position, the Gilberto DM position, is well known for not showing up players and how good snd important they are to teams
I thought he did well and will be a big player for us in that position.

I personally thought Rice had a decent game on Saturday…I realise I’m in the minority saying that but I think he has started well for us and is integrating into the team nicely.
