He was a very good player for Klopp’s rampant Borussia at the time (while they were winning the league and getting to the CL final; I think he played in the final btw). Never world class, but was really good at the time. Couldn’t kick on after he left Borussia though.
Can’t put Ayoze in the same category at all. He just apparently had a good season at Betis.

Pretty positive he was linked with Barca not too long ago as well.
Dont disrespect him, if he is still playing, Arteta would love to have him. So versatile.

Yeah I know he was a good glue guy for them. All teams have them or at least, all successful teams have them.
As @ronniec said, he did play a ton of positions for them. And it’s no disrespect, he’s just a totally random player who has a WC medal. I did watch a decent amount of Perez at Betis and he was fine. Maybe he’s just great to have in the locker room and wouldn’t complain about minutes for the NT?

It used to be about his distribution but he’s been making some excellent saves so far this season. Another move looking even more justified by the day.

Becker is still clear as the best in the world but Raya is establishing himself as absolutely top class in his own right.
He’s a crucial piece in our defensive solidity and how we vary our build up with short and long passes. He’s also now keeping us in games with massive saves.
Top player.

Raya has really taken his opportunity and grown into a fantastic GK. He completes our excellent defence. Still under 30 too, so got some good years ahead of him.
So far all four transfers from last season are great. Rice, Kai, Timber and Raya.
Seems Calafiori, Merino and Sterling will be good also.
