Raya has proven quite emphatically that Arteta / Cana made the right choice here.
His command of the area and ability to claim crosses is the best in the league. I dont watch enough continental football these days to say heās the best in Europe but heās gotta be right up there.
Heās got outstanding anticipation, decision making and confidence to catch the ball in congested areas. He releases pressure on the whole team when he does that. Against City and tough away grounds, that attribute is utterly invaluable.
His ability on the ball to play it short or long is also perfect for our system.
And now heās making absolutely decisive, world class saves.
Heās performing at an unbelievable level right now. Heās so well rounded. The only keeper in the world Iād swap him for is Becker just because he makes those game changing saves on such a regular basis that heād probably be the only guy who saves us more points than Raya.

Unbelievable save but what the fuck was the Atalanta player doing with that casual finish.
Gave Raya the chance and he gobbled it the fuck up, hope he had nightmares about it last night.
