Could be just Artetaâs mind games but apparently he wasnât fit for the game against Girona, hence why he was out of the squad.
Either way, his importance was highlighted immediately last night.
Tbf, there are times where he stands far out of goal too

Sensational performance from Raya todayâŚthose big 
of his kept us in the match, and Iâm sorry, but Ramsdale doesnât make that save. Signing Raya has been so important to the evolution of the team. Credit to Arteta and Edu for making that decision.

I donât know if Garcia is the backup we need, but we definitely need a better backup than Neto. This is a key position we need to strengthen in the summer.
His saves where essential, they score with those chances and it could have got ugly
He continues to repay all the faith that theyâve shown him, just one of those signings that has been absolutely key.

Raya was excellent today without a doubt, but I do think weâd have conceded far fewer goals this season if his shot stopping was as good as it was today, in those games too.
