I dont see the centre tightened tbh and in some games maybe more vulnerable. Im a wary of his attitude and can see it impacting on the team as well.
Hopefully the other players coming in offset this overall. Either way the club is back on its way seemingly to be coming totally relevant again.

Good stopgap for two years, probably turn into a squad player next season once we bring in a bigger name. Good leader, a bit crazy at times which might rear itās head a few times this season. Better then we got right now. Good buy, I feel a bit more confident for top 4 with him and Tiernay in the team.
Can see him and Cabellos causing all sorts of antics on the pitch

Shame weāre not in the CL next season, a team with Cabellos and Luiz uo against barca would be funny, caba with the verbal anti Barcelona insults and Luiz with physical idiocracy 
Next season, weāll still have Luiz and Ceballos will be signed on a permanent deal.

How will this change my opinion though. Think about it now.
While he is not the CB we were hoping for, the plan clearly is to bring in someone that can do a job for at least a season, someone better than Mustafi and he clearly is that player. I think Raul will go again for CB in the winter and I wouldnāt be surprised if we have a deal to in place for a CB, to join us next season.
But until that happens, we have a decent CB in Luis. Prone to making a few mistakes, but not braindead like Mustafi. Plus, he chips in with a few goals as well.

Donāt worry, youāre not alone on this score. I donāt see this is a particularly good signing at all, someone with broadly the same liabilities as Mustafi, but oh wait heās better at spraying 70 yard passes so that will help with the GA column.
Heās obviously here to slot straight into the team with Sokratis or Holding tho, so Iāll get behind him. Pretty sure weāre shipping a lot of goals still

Sokratis Luiz will be an interesting duo. Reckon Luiz starts.

Luiz - Holding is our best CB pairing imo.
Best case scenario where Luiz played to his best, Holding comes back fresh from his time out, and they both stay fit and we can finish 3rd with that in my opinion.
But otherwise, again: Sokratis Luiz and Mustafi Luiz will be something special to see 
It seems heās here as a one year stop gap til we have Saliba and maybe sign one other, maybe weāll then let him go or heāll be back up for the second year of his contract. In that context, Iām OK with this signing, particularly at that price.
Yeah, heās a total liability sometimes, but Iām resigned to having a shit defence for at least another season, so at least weāve bought in a defender who will help with the playing from the back thing Emery wants to do. Plus defensively Iād still say he has the potential to improve us anywayā¦ Thatās how low the bar is set
Its also about context. Iām pretty much delighted with our other signings, so Iāll definitely take this as a stop gap right at the death of the window. Had we not done other very good business, Iād absolutely be raging about this, no question haha.
Alsoā¦ Iād much rather spend this 8 million in a stop gap instead of spending 35m plus on another Mustafi, or a Rugani, someone we arenāt sure about but have spent big money on because we donāt feel there are better options. Keeping our powder dry and grabbing Luiz is far preferable to doing that imo. Seems like a far smarter way of doing things.
At the moment Iām just viewing this as part of the #madness and right now that shit is fully hooked up to my veins, so Iām drinking this in and seeing the hilarious side of things. I donāt doubt that heās gonna have us all tearing our hair out at times this season, but Iām gonna try and remain sanguine and just enjoy the ride.
Cos I really do think this season is going to be one hell of a ride. I think itāll be totally ludicrous and there will be bags of action at both ends of the pitch, so Iām gonna try to just get on board with that and enjoy it for what it is. Iām looking forward to this season and for the first time in a while Iām genuinely expecting to be entertained.

Kos was supposed to be the old backup until we get Saliba and Holding back in the game, he left so we last minute got something similar for cheap. Itās not much more than that to it.
This is it right here, this is why we watch the sport. Arsenal are an unconditional love but when that love becomes boring it becomes a chore. This is the first season in a long time where Iām genuinely excited going into it. It feels even more of a fresh start than Emeryās first year where we literally had a Wenger team with some Bundseliga additions.
I honestly believe our team is good enough to have a sneaky outside chance at a title run, sure it probably will falter but with this should bring assured top 4 and with the league the way it is atm I feel the only way to get top 4 is to run at the title and fail.

Luiz needs someone to keep him in check. Sokratis managed to keep Mustafi in check for the most part. I hope he can do the same with David.
Top 4 shouldnāt be our aim, the league is what we should aim for and weāll definitely make that top 4 positions. Really do think 
we have a madness in us this season, too many mad variables to take into account !?

Thereās no option or obligation to buy contained within this deal. At the end heās set to return to Madrid, anything other than that would require negotiations.
He fell out with Zidane and midfield competition is fierce there, they dumped Llorente as well who is also very promising and the same age and they might very well still go for some Pogba/Eriksen level signing before summer is over, so itās probably partly up to us to be exciting enough for him to want to stay. Maybe the better he does the more money they want for him but thatās a lesser issue. First thingās first - perform here and get us results, in that way the ball is probably in our court to a large degree.
