Danny Welbeck

Do Brighton not have a number 7? They lose marks for not using him.

I think this wasn’t intentional.
If it was though, you’re right.

I guess none of his Arsenal teammate were bants ladsssss enough to do this with him, and the few that might probably couldn’t carry him.

Prime Welbeck :arteta:

I always liked Welbz, limited footballer but always gave it his all and was a model professional.

Glad to see him find a club after us and he seems to be thriving for BHA. Good for him.

Yeah, I thought his career was over after Watford but his Brighton move turned out really well.

But he just can’t score, can he?

And only goal he scored this season is against Arsenal. Haha, Typical us.

If he keeps this form up in front of goal he’ll be looking at somewhere in the region of 0 to 0 non penalty goals over the season.

Heard from Duncan Alexander that he is the first player to score at the Emirates for 4 different teams

That goal against Utd in the FA Cup was an incredible moment.

Always liked him and I think he built a closer connection with Arsenal than Man Utd.

I think Welbeck wasn’t appreciated enough by a lot of fans. He was always an unselfish player who worked extremely hard and was very tactically well drilled. He could follow instructions and execute to a T that’s why he had a career at United, England and Arsenal.

Obviously goal tally leaves a lot to be desired but his I think he never got enough credit for what he did bring to the table.

Injury record also definitely stifled his progress too.

Why do we keep looking back on players like him and Iwobi as something they weren’t.

I always liked him long before we signed him

I thought united was his best years. Don’t think he could ever embrace the main man thing at Arsenal.

Heard countless teammates of his speak very highly of him like Pogba, Wilshere, etc.

His former coaches all love him and even Emery was certainly impressed with him when he arrived. I remember he started that season very well and then yet another injury got him off the pitch.

Mou called it a mistake that Man Utd sold him.

I think he would have had a top career if it wasn’t for the injuries.

He didn’t do much with the ball to compensate for his lack of goals though.
Jesus, for instance, could go a whole season with a similar tally as Welbeck but he will contribute to the team’s overall play much more than Welbeck.

When Man U sold him to us, Welbeck was their fourth choice striker for a reason and Ferguson knew exactly what he was doing.

Wenger never seemed to learn that rival clubs only sell us players that aren’t going to make us better, unlike when we sell our best players to the likes of Man U, Chelsea and Man City.

It wasn’t Ferguson who sold him to us. He wouldn’t have ever sold Welbeck he loved his profile as a player.
